Description: The TCRγδ heterodimer of the CD3/T cell receptor complex is clonotypic and consists of Ig-like variable and constant domains. It is expressed during thymopoiesis and on the small subpopulation of γδ TCR-expressing T lymphocytes in the periphery. The majority of T cells present in some epithelial tissues are γδ+ and have limited receptor diversity. The TCRγδ heterodimer recognizes peptide antigen bound to MHC antigens and subsequent signal transduction mediated by the invariant chains leads to T cell activation. The monoclonal antibody UC7-13D5 is specific for the γδ heterodimer and plate-bound UC7-13D5 activates γδ TCR-bearing cells. This antibody does not react with αβ TCR-expressing T cells.

Description: AP Anti-Mouse IgG1 antibody for use in ELISA, immunohistochemistry / immunocytochemistry, and western blotting assays.

Catalog Number: (100244-136)
Supplier: Southern Biotechnology
Description: CD86 (B7-2) is an 80 kDa type I integral membrane protein and a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily of cell surface receptors. Along with CD80 (B7-1), CD86 participates in T cell costimulation via interaction with CD28 and CD152 (CTLA-4). It is expressed at very low density in normal tissues but is rapidly upregulated on stimulated B cells, monocytes, and dendritic cells. Since CD86 has rapid kinetics of induction, it is believed to be the major CD28 ligand expressed early in the immune response.

Supplier: Southern Biotechnology
Description: Donkey Anti-Rat IgG(H+L)-AP antibody with minimal reactivity to mouse serum proteins for use in ELISA, immunohistochemistry / immunocytochemistry, and western blotting assays.

Catalog Number: (100243-946)
Supplier: Southern Biotechnology
Description: CD81, also known as TAPA-1, is an integral membrane protein expressed on a variety of cell types and has a high degree of sequence homology between human and mouse. CD81 is expressed on thymic stromal cells where it plays an important role in the transition of γδ+ T cells to more mature T cells with αβ T cell receptors. Immunohistochemical staining has revealed that its expression is localized to the subcapsular region of the thymus and, specifically, on cells that have distinct clustering patterns. It has been speculated that the ligand for CD81 is the pre-T cell receptor which is composed of a TCR β chain and glycoprotein pTα. The monoclonal antibody 2F7 can block thymocyte interaction with CD81 in vitro.

Description: ApoScreen® Annexin V (SB Cat. No. 10040) is a recombinant protein that is expressed in E. coli. A number of changes in cell structure occur during apoptosis. One major change is the loss of membrane phospholipid asymmetry, with translocation of phosphatidylserine (PS) from the inner leaflet of the phospholipid bilayer to the external surface. Annexin V, a member of the annexin family of calcium-dependent phospholipid binding proteins, has a high affinity for phosphatidylserine (PS)-containing phospholipid bilayers. Conjugated Annexin V can be used to monitor changes in cell membrane phospholipid asymmetry, thereby providing a convenient tool for detection of apoptotic cells.

Catalog Number: (100246-348)
Supplier: Southern Biotechnology
Description: CD71 is a 95 kDa type II heterodimeric transmembrane glycoprotein that is the receptor for transferrin. CD71 expression is very low on resting leukocytes but is upregulated upon activation. CD71 plays a critical role in cell proliferation by controlling the supply of iron which is essential for many metabolic pathways through the binding and endocytosis of transferrin.

Catalog Number: (100244-012)
Supplier: Southern Biotechnology
Description: The monoclonal antibody NIMR-4 reacts specifically with a non-polymorphic I-A-encoded epitope on MHC Class II antigens. Class II antigens are predominantly expressed on antigen-presenting cells including B lymphocytes, macrophages, dendritic cells, and certain epithelial cells.

Catalog Number: (100243-622)
Supplier: Southern Biotechnology
Description: CD71, a type II transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on the cell surface as a homodimer, is the transferrin receptor. It is essential for the growth of normal and neoplastic cells. It is expressed at low levels on resting B and T lymphocytes but is upregulated during responses to antigens and mitogens presumably reflecting the iron dependence of proliferation. Its expression declines with maturation and differentiation. CD71 plays a critical role in cell proliferation by controlling the supply of iron which is essential for many metabolic pathways through the binding and endocytosis of transferrin, the major iron-carrying protein. It may also be involved in signal transduction via its association with the T cell receptor ζ chain. The monoclonal antibody RI7217 inhibits cell proliferation in vitro.

Catalog Number: (103260-182)
Supplier: Southern Biotechnology
Description: CD3, a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily of cell surface receptors, is comprised of five invariable chains ranging from 16-28 kDa and is closely associated with the T cell antigen receptor (TCR). CD3 is expressed on 70-80% of normal peripheral blood lymphocytes and on 10-20% of thymocytes. It plays a major role in signaling during antigen recognition, leading to T cell activation. The monoclonal antibody UCHT1 reacts with the 20 kDa ε chain of the CD3/TCR complex.

Catalog Number: (103265-448)
Supplier: Southern Biotechnology
Description: CD158e1 is a 70 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein and a killer cell immunoglobulin (Ig)-like receptor (KIR) that is expressed on a subset of natural killer cells and T cells. The monoclonal antibody DX9 is expressed on a subset of CD3-, CD56+ NK cells isolated from peripheral blood at varying levels (<0.1% to 61%) among individuals but not on thymocytes, B lymphocytes, granulocytes, or monocytes. Interactions with CD158e1 and certain MHC HLA-B antigens on a target cell inhibits cytotoxicity, possibly preventing target cell lysis and death. KIR and MHC class I interactions may regulate NK and T cell response to antigen stimulation.

Catalog Number: (101442-688)
Supplier: Southern Biotechnology
Description: Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) are a family of at least 23 structurally related, zinc-containing enzymes that have the ability to breakdown connective tissue. MMP-1 has shown substrate specificity to collagens types I, II, III, VII, VIII, X, and XI as well as additional extracellular matrix components including gelatin, fibronectin, laminin, and proteoglycan.

Catalog Number: (100245-926)
Supplier: Southern Biotechnology
Description: CD20 is a 33-37 kDa unglycosylated phosphoprotein. Although not a member of the tetraspanin superfamily of cell surface receptors, it crosses the cell membrane four times. It is expressed on all stages of B cell differentiation except plasma cells. The CD20 molecule is involved in regulation of B cell differentiation presumably via its reported function as a Ca++ channel subunit.
