Catalog Number: (75929-628)
Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Description: Anti-viral innate immune responses are triggered by pathogen-associated molecular patters (such as the accumulation of intracellular nucleic acids resulting from virus infections) and represent the first line of defense against numerous infectious organisms. The Toll-like receptors (TLR) 3, 7, 8, and 9 are expressed in immune cells and function as transmembrane pattern recognition receptors to detect foreign nucleic acids. Other proteins that play similar roles, such as RIG-1 and MDA5 are members of a CARD-helicase family and are expressed in the cytoplasm. A third protein, LGP2, is similar to RIG-1 and MDA5, except for lacking a homologous CARD domain. It is thought to act as an element of negative-feedback regulation of intracellular antiviral signaling. At least four isoforms of LGP2 are known to exist.

Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Description: Primary Rabbit Anti-MYC EPITOPE TAG Reacts with Pan

Catalog Number: (75933-770)
Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Description: The zinc finger protein 521 (ZNF521) is a transcription factor containing an N-terminal transcriptional repressor motif and 30 zinc finger domains. It plays a role in both erythroid cell and osteoblast differentiation during development, inhibiting the activities of early B-cell factor 1 (EBF1) in erythroid cells and Runx2 in osteoblast precursors. ZFP521 binds to both Runx2 and histone deacetylase 3 (HDAC3), promotes their association and antagonizes Runx2 transcriptional activity in a HDAC3-dependent manner, thereby regulating osteoblast differentiation, skeletal development, and bone homeostasis.

Catalog Number: (10800-560)
Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Description: Caspases are a family of cysteine proteases that can be divided into the apoptotic and inflammatory caspase subfamilies. Unlike the apoptotic caspases, members of the inflammatory subfamily are generally not involved in cell death but are associated with the immune response to microbial pathogens. The apoptotic subfamily can be further divided into initiator caspases, which are activated in response to death signals, and executioner caspases, which are activated by the initiator caspases and are responsible for cleavage of cellular substrates that ultimately lead to cell death. Caspase-8 is an initiator caspase that was identified as a member of the Fas/APO-1 death-inducing signaling complex. The adaptor molecule FADD couples procaspase-8 to the Fas receptor death domain; subsequent oligomerization promotes procaspase-8 autoactivation. FLIP, a catalytically inactive caspase-8-like molecule inhibits these interactions and thus can inhibit apoptosis.
