Catalog Number: (75934-390)
Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Description: HES5 is a member of the HES family of transcriptional repressors, which are the mammalian homologs of the Drosophila Hairy and Enhancer of Split and contain basic Helix-loop-helix (bHLH) and Orange domains (1). The HES5 gene is a downstream target of the Notch signaling pathway and its expression is downregulated during human cartilage differentiation (2). HES5 can directly repress transcription of the E3 ligase FBW7-beta, creating a feedback loop that modulates Notch-mediated intestinal and neural stem cell fate decisions (3).

Catalog Number: (10800-832)
Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Description: Claudin1 (CLDN1), a member of the claudin family, is an integral membrane protein and a component of tight junction strands. Tight junctions are specialized regions of cell to cell contact consisting of networking strands that act as a molecular gasket for preventing the leakage of ions, water, etc., between cells. They are abundant in luminal epithelial sheets where they maintain epithelial cell polarity. Different tissues exhibit different Claudin composition and CLDN1 expression is often cell type and tissue dependent. Loss of function mutations result in neonatal ichthyosis-sclerosing cholangitis syndrome. CLDN1 and CLDN2 were found to be overexpressed in colonal cancer tissues and may be useful as tumor markers and targets for the treatment of colorectal cancer. Characterization of Claudins expression in human tumors can be an additional diagnostic tool. Recent studies show that CLDN1 has gastric tumor suppressive activity and is a direct transcriptional target of RUNX3. Along with SCARB1, LDL-R, and the tetraspanin superfamily member CD81, CLDN1 has been reported to be an entry factor for the Hepatitis C virus.

Catalog Number: (10800-330)
Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Description: Anti-beta-2-Microglobulin Antibody detects beta-2-Microglobulin. Beta-2-microglobulin is a component of the class I major histocompatibility complex (MHC), which are present on all nucleated cells (excludes red blood cells). It is involved in the presentation of peptide antigens to the immune system. Beta-2-microglobulin associates not only with the alpha chain of MHC class I molecules, but also with class I-like molecules such as CD1 and Qa. Defects in B2M are the cause of hypercatabolic hypoproteinemia. Anti-beta-2-Microglobulin Antibody is ideal for investigators involved in Cell Signaling, Immunology and Cell Biology research.

Catalog Number: (75931-498)
Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Description: Mammalian odorant receptors require accessory proteins such as RTP1 and RTP2 for functional cell surface expression. Receptor expression-enhancing protein (REEP) family members are transmembrane proteins which interact with odorant receptor proteins and may enhance the odorant receptor responses to odorants. Recently studies have shown other chemosensory receptors such as bitter taste receptors are also influenced by RTP and REEP family members.

Catalog Number: (RL001-0103)
Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Description: Produced through a multi-stage process that includes delipidation, salt fractionation, ion-exchange chromatography, gel filtration, and affinity chromatography. No contaminating proteins are observed when assayed at a protein concentration of 20mg/mL against anti-whole serum or anti-fragment specific antisera. All immunoglobulin fragments are prepared from highly purified, whole molecules subject to enzymatic digestion.
