Description: GRTP1 Antibody: Growth hormone regulated TBC protein 1 (GRTP1) was identified through microarray analysis as a gene whose expression is regulated by growth hormone (GH). It contains the TBC signature motif of GTPase activator proteins of Rab-like small GTPases. GRTP1 mRNA is expressed at highest levels in testes, and is also present in kidney, lung, liver, and intestine. Administration of GH to mice resulted in an increase in GRTP1 mRNA in testes, but a decrease of GRTP1 mRNA in kidney and liver. GRTP1 was identified as an HIV dependency factor (HDF), suggesting that GRTP1 may be an important drug target in HIV treatment.

Description: SLFN14 Antibody: Despite being first described several years ago, the roles of the Schlafen (SLFN) family of proteins remain largely unknown. The SLFN genes are preferentially expressed in lymphoid tissues and differentially regulated during thymocyte maturation. It is thought that many play roles in cell growth, hemopoietic cell differentiation, and T cell development and maturation. Most members contain at least one divergent AAA domain (AAA_4) that may play a role in ATP binding. SLFN14 is a recently identified member of the SLFN family; its role has yet to be determined.

Description: The 2B11 monoclonal antibody specifically reacts with mouse CD184 (CXCR4or Fusin), a seven-transmembrane G-protein-coupled receptor. It is expressed by astrocytes, B cells, T cells, monocytes, neutrophils, neurons, and hematopoietic cell types. CD184 is a coreceptor for X4 HIV-1.The monoclonal 2B11 antibody recognizes the amino terminus of CD184 and has functional activity.

Description: Tumor Necrosis Factor Receptor Superfamily Member 21 (TNFRSF21) is a type I transmembrane receptor that includes four extracellular cysteine-rich motifs and a cytoplasmic death domain. DR6 is highly expressed in heart, brain, placenta, pancreas, lymph node, thymus and prostate. DR6 may activate NF-kappa-B and JNK to promote apoptosis and T-cell differentiation. In addition, DR6 binds with N-APP, which is released by the deprivation of Trophic-factor. It triggers caspase activation and degeneration of both neuronal cell bodies (via caspase-3) and axons (via caspase-6). DR6 is also expressed on the tumor cell lines and can be induced by TNF- alpha.

Description: Interleukin-27 (IL-27) is a heterodimeric group 2 receptor ligand molecule that belongs to the IL-6/IL-12 family of long type I cytokines. It is composed of EBI3 (EBV-induced gene 3), a 34 kDa glycoprotein that is related to the p40 subunit of IL-12 and IL-23, and p28, the cloned 28 kDa glycoprotein that is related to the p35 chain of IL-12. IL-27 is expressed by monocytes, endothelial cells and dendritic cells. IL-27 binds to and signals through a heterodimeric receptor complex composed of WSX1 (TCCR) and gp130. Evidence suggests IL-27 interacts only with WSX-1. IL-27 has both anti- and proinflammatory properties. As an antiinflammatory, IL-27 seems to induce a general negative feedback program that limits T and NK-T cell activity. At the onset of infection, IL-27 induces an IL-12 receptor on naie CD4+ T cells, making them susceptible to subsequent IL-12 activity (and possible Th1 development). Notably, IL-12 family cytokines are both induced and inhibited by bacterial products. Microbes promote IL-27 secretion through TLR4, and also block IL-27 production via C5a induction.

Description: CLEC4 is a member of the C-type lectin family of proteins that plays a role in inflammatory and immune response. CLEC4E, also called Mincle (Macrophage-inducible C-type lectin), is found on the surface of activated macrophages and phagocytes. It is a receptor for both non-self (fungi and mycobacteria), and self (damaged cells) ligands. Dead cells release SAP130 (Sin3A-Associated Protein, 130kDa), a small nuclear ribonucleoprotein component. CLEC4E senses this and interacts with the ITAM-containing adaptor protein FcRgamma, and via Syk and CARD9 signaling, activates the production of inflammatory cytokines such as TNFa, MIP-2 and IL-6.

Description: The antibody recognizes a single chain glycoprotein of 105/120kDa, identified as CD30/Ki-1. CD30 is synthesized as a 90kDa precursor, which is processed in the Golgi complex into a membrane-bound phosphorylated mature 105/120kDa glycoprotein. In Hodgkin’s disease, CD30 antigen is expressed by mononuclear-Hodgkin and multinucleated Reed-Sternberg cells. It is also expressed by the tumor cells of a majority of anaplastic large cell lymphomas as well as by a varying proportion of activated T and B cells. This antibody distinguishes large cell lymphomas derived from activated lymphoid cells from histiocytic malignancies and lymphomas derived from resting and precursor lymphoid cells or from anaplastic carcinomas. About one third of the CD30 positive lymphomas lack the leukocyte common antigen (CD45).
