Description: The UC10-4F10-11 monoclonal antibody specifically reacts with the mouse Cytotoxic T-Lymphocyte Antigen-4 (CTLA-4), also known as CD152. It is a protein with a structure similar to CD28 regarding the genomic organization, amino acid sequence, and structure. CTLA-4 is expressed on activated T cells and CD25+/CD4+ Treg lymphocytes and binds the members of the B7 family, B7-1 (CD80) and B7-2 (CD86), with higher affinity than CD28. CD28 seems to provide opposing signal to T lymphocytes, while CD152 inhibits the T lymphocytes progression to an activated state and their proliferation, CD28 is a costimulator. The mouse UC10 -4F10-11 monoclonal antibody does not cross-react with the rat leukocytes.

Description: DEDAF Antibody: Apoptosis is related to many diseases and induced by a family of cell death receptors and their ligands. Cell death signals are transduced by death domain (DD) death effector domain (DED), and caspase recruitment domain (CARD) containing molecules. Several molecules including caspases and adaptor FADD contain DEDs. A novel protein that interacts with DED of caspase-8 and 10, and FADD was identified recently and designated DEDAF for DED associated factor. DEDAF is identical to the transcriptional repressor RYBP. DEDAF/RYBP is expressed in multiple tissues and cell lines. DEDAF interacts with FADD and augments the formation of CD95/FADD/capase-8 complexes at the cell membrane, and interacts with DED-containing DNA biding protein (DEDD) in the nucleus indicating it is involved in the regulation of both cytoplasmic and nuclear events of apoptosis.

Description: PHAP I Antibody: Apoptosis is related to many diseases and development. Caspase-9 plays a central role in cell death induced by a variety of apoptosis activators. Cytochrome c, after released from mitochondria, binds to Apaf-1, which forms an apoptosome that in turn binds to and activate procaspase-9. Activated caspase-9 cleaves and activates the effector caspases (caspase-3, -6 and -7), which are responsible for the proteolytic cleavage of many key proteins in apoptosis. The tumor suppressor putative HLA-DR-associated proteins (PHAPs) were recently identified as important regulators of mitochondrion apoptosis. PHAP appears to facilitate apoptosome-medicated caspase-9 activation and to stimulate the mitochondrial apoptotic pathway. PHAP was also shown to oppose both Ras- and Myc-medicated cell transformation.

Description: SLC17A5 is a membrane transporter that exports free sialic acids that have been cleaved off of cell surface lipids and proteins from lysosomes. Mutations in SLC17A5 gene cause sialic acid storage diseases, including infantile sialic acid storage disorder and and Salla disease, an adult form. This gene encodes a membrane transporter that exports free sialic acids that have been cleaved off of cell surface lipids and proteins from lysosomes. Mutations in this gene cause sialic acid storage diseases, including infantile sialic acid storage disorder and and Salla disease, an adult form. Publication Note: This RefSeq record includes a subset of the publications that are available for this gene. Please see the Entrez Gene record to access additional publications.

Description: This mAb recognizes Golgi complex in human cells. It is a part of a new panel of reagents, which recognizes subcellular organelles or compartments of human cells. These markers may be useful in identification of these organelles in cells, tissues, and biochemical preparations. It recognizes an antigen associated with the Golgi complex in human cells only. It can be used to stain the Golgi complex in cell or tissue preparations and can be used as a Golgi marker in subcellular fractions. It produces a diffuse staining pattern of the Golgi zone in normal and malignant cells and may be used to stain Golgi complex of cells in frozen tissue sections. It can also be used with paraformaldehyde fixed frozen tissue or cell preparations. This mAb is an excellent marker for human cells in xenographic model research. It reacts specifically with human cells.

Description: IL-12 is involved in the differentiation of naive T cells into Th1 cells. It is known as a T cell-stimulating factor, which can stimulate the growth and function of T cells. It stimulates the production of interferon-gamma (IFN- gamma ) and tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF- alpha) from T cells and natural killer (NK) cells, and reduces IL-4 mediated suppression of IFN- gamma . T cells that produce IL-12 have a coreceptor, CD30, which is associated with IL-12 activity. IL-12 plays an important role in the activities of natural killer cells and T lymphocytes. IL-12 mediates enhancement of the cytotoxic activity of NK cells and CD8+ cytotoxic T lymphocytes.
