Description: NIK Antibody: Nuclear factor kappa B (NF-kappa B) is a ubiquitous transcription factor and an essential mediator of gene expression during activation of immune and inflammatory responses. NF-kappa B mediates the expression of a great variety of genes in response to extracellular stimuli including IL-1, TNF alpha , LPS and mitogens. A serine/threonine protein kinase which mediates NF-kappa B activation by IL-1, TNF alpha and CD95 was identified recently and designated NIK (for NF-kappa B inducing kinase). NIK is an activator of I kappa B kinase alpha and beta (IKK alpha and IKK beta ). Therefore, NIK is a key molecule in the NF-kappa B signaling pathway leading to the induction of a variety of gene expression in response to proinflammatory cytokines and bacteria products.

Description: Myeloperoxidase (MPO) is a heme protein synthesized during myeloid differentiation that constitutes the major component of neutrophil azurophilic granules. Produced as a single chain precursor, myeloperoxidase is subsequently cleaved into a light and heavy chain. The mature myeloperoxidase is a tetramer composed of 2 light chains and 2 heavy chains. This enzyme produces hypohalous acids central to the microbicidal activity of netrophils. [provided by RefSeq].

Description: Hematopoietic Prostaglandin D Synthase (HPGDS) belongs to the GST superfamily and Sigma family. HPGDS contains one GST C-terminal domain and one GST N-terminal domain. HPGDS is highly expressed in adipose tissue, macrophages, and placenta, and it exists in the form of homodimer in living body. HPGDS is a cytosolic enzyme that isomerizes PGH(2). HPGDS is a bifunctional enzyme that catalyzes both the conversion of PGH2 to PGD2 and also shows low glutathione-peroxidase activity towards cumenehydroperoxide.

Description: PION Antibody: Accumulation of the amyloid-beta peptide (Abeta) in the cerebral cortex is a critical event in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease. The beta-amyloid protein precursor (APP) is cleaved by one of two beta-secretases (BACE and BACE2), producing a soluble derivative of the protein and a membrane anchored 99 -amino acid carboxy-terminal fragment (C99). The C99 fragment serves as substrate for gamma-secretase to generate the 4 kDa amyloid-beta peptide (Abeta), which is deposited in the Alzheimer's disease patient's brains. PION, or GSAP, selectively increases amyloid-beta production through a mechanism involving its interaction with both gamma-secretase and the APP C-terminal fragment, suggesting that PION may be a potential therapeutic target for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease.

Description: TLR11 Antibody: Toll-like receptors (TLRs) are signaling molecules that recognize different microbial products during infection and serve as an important link between the innate and adaptive immune responses. These proteins act through adaptor molecules such as MyD88 and TIRAP to activate various kinases and transcription factors. TLR11 is one of three mouse TLRs that lack a human ortholog. It is activated specifically by uropathogenic bacteria, and mice lacking TLR11 showed a much greater susceptability to uropathogenic infections, indicating a potentially important role for TLR11 in preventing infections in the urogenital system.

Description: NAK Antibody: Nuclear factor kappa B (NF-kappa B) is a ubiquitous transcription factor and an essential mediator of gene expression during activation of immune and inflammatory responses. NF-kappa B mediates the expression of a great variety of genes in response to extracellular stimuli. NF-kappa B is associated with I kappa B proteins in the cell cytoplasm, which inhibit NF-kappa B activity. Phosphorylation of I-kappaB by I kappa B kinase (IKK) complex leads to degradation of I-kappaB and activation of NF-kappa B. The IKK complex contains IKK alpha , IKK beta , and IKK gamma. A novel IKK related kinase was recently identified and designated TBK1 (TANK-binding kinase 1), NAK (NF-kappa B-activating kinase), and T2K. NAK/TBK1 activates IKK beta through direct phosphorylation. NAK/TBK1 is activated by growth factors and PMA and mediates IKK and NF-kappa B activation in response to growth factors. NAK/TBK1 functions upstream of NIK and the IKK complex. NAK/TBK1 is also critical in protecting embryonic liver from apoptosis.
