Description: TEAD1 is a transcriptional enhancer. It interacts with a muscle-specific cofactor to promote skeletal muscle gene expression. The mutation in the TEAD1 gene is the cause of Sveinsson's chorioretinal atrophy

Description: FGF4 Antibody: Fibroblast growth factor 4 (FGF4) is a member of the fibroblast growth factor (FGF) family that possess broad mitogenic and cell survival activities and play key roles in growth and survival of stem cells during embryogenesis, tissue regeneration, and carcinogenesis. FGF4 was identified by its strong oncogenic transforming activity and is a potent angiogenic factor, expressed in several highly vascularized tumors and also in adult mouse testis, intestine, and brain. Studies on the mouse homolog suggests a function in bone morphogenesis and limb development through the sonic hedgehog (SHH) signaling pathway. Furthermore, FGF4 regulates neural progenitor cell proliferation and neuronal differentiation. Recent studies show a growth-promoting role for FGF4 in human embryonic stem cells and a putative feedback inhibition mechanism by a novel FGF4 splice isoform that may serve to promote differentiation at a later stages of development.

Description: POPDC3 is a member of the POP family of proteins containing three putative transmembrane domains. The protein is expressed in cardiac and skeletal muscle and may play an important role in these tissues during development. This gene encodes a member of the POP family of proteins containing three putative transmembrane domains. This gene is expressed in cardiac and skeletal muscle and may play an important role in these tissues during development.

Description: EGF-Like Repeat and Discoidin I-Like Domain-Containing Protein 3 (EDIL3) is a 52 kDa extracellular matrix protein that is expressed by endothelial tissues during embryonic vascular development. EDIL3 becomes quiescent at the time of birth, and is no longer expressed in normal adult tissues. EDIL3 has been found to be re-expressed in a number of human tumors as well as in ischemic muscles and ischemic brain tissue, which may play an important role in adult angiogenesis. EDIL3 promotes adherence and migration of endothelial cells, and acts as an endothelial cell survival agent through upregulation of Bcl-2 expression. EDIL3 has also been shown to be an endogenous inhibitor of inflammatory cell recruitment by interfering with the integrin LFA-1-dependent leukocyte-endothelial adhesion. Human EDIL3 is synthesized as a precursor with a 16 amino acid signal sequence and a 464 amino acid mature chain.

Description: FLIP Antibody: Apoptosis is related to many diseases and induced by a family of cell death receptors and their ligands. Cell death signals are transduced by death domain (DD) containing adapter molecules and members of the ICE/CED-3 protease family.Caspases-8 (FLICE) and -10 (FLICE2) are two pivotal members in the ICE/CED-3 protease family. FLICE-inhibitory proteins were identified in virus and human and designated v-FLIPs and FLIP respectively. The human FLIP was also cloned by several labs independently and termed Casper, I-FLICE, FLAME-1, CASH, CLARP and MRIT. FLIP contains two death effector domains (DEDs) and a caspase-like domain. FLIP interacts with adapter protein FADD and caspase-8 and 10, and potently inhibits apoptosis induced by all known death receptors CD95, DR3, TRAIL-R and TNFR1.

Description: CD152 (CTLA-4) and CD28, together with their ligands B7-1 and B7-2, constitute one of the dominant costimulatory pathways that regulate T and B cell responses. CD152 and CD28 are structurally
homologous molecules that are members of the immunoglobulin (Ig) gene superfamily. Both CD152 and CD28 are composed of a single Ig V-like extracellular domain, a transmembrane domain and an
intracellular domain. CD152 and CD28 are both expressed on the cell surface as disulfide-linked homodimers or as monomers. CD152 was originally identified as a gene that was specifically expressed by
cytotoxic T lymphocytes. However, CD152 transcripts have since been found in both Th1 and Th2, and CD4+ and CD8+ T cell clones. Whereas, CD28 expression is constitutive on the surfaces of 95% of CD4+
T cells and 50% of CD8+ T cells and is down regulated upon T cell activation, CD152 expression is upregulated rapidly following T cell activation and peaks approximately 24 hours following activation.
Although both CD152 and CD28 can bind to the same ligands, CD152 binds to B71 and B72 with 20-100-fold higher affinity than CD28.
