Catalog Number: (75933-966)
Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Description: Anti-Mouse Serum Albumin antibody detects Serum Albumin. Serum albumin is the main protein of plasma. It has a good binding capacity for water, Ca2+, Na+, K+, fatty acids, hormones, bilirubin and drugs. Its main function is the regulation of the colloidal osmotic pressure of blood. ALB is the major zinc transporter in plasma; it typically binds about 80% of all plasma zinc. Mouse serum antibody, BSA antibody, and other albumin antibodies are ideal for investigators involved in Cell Signaling, Neuroscience, and Signal Transduction research.

Description: Matrilin (MATNs) are a family of non-collagenous extracellular matrix proteins consisting of four known members that have been proposed to play key roles in the formation of both collagen-dependent and collagen-independent filamentous networks. Members of the matrilin family all share a structure made up of von Willebrand factor A domains, epidermal growth factor-like domains and a coiled coil alpha-helical module. MATN1 and MATN3 are expressed mainly in cartilage, while MATN2 and MATN4 occur in a wide variety of extracellular matrices such as embryonic kidney, lung, bone, cartilage and nervous system. The matrilin genes are strictly and differently regulated and their expression may serve as markers for cellular differentiation. MATN4 could serve as an odontoblast differentiation marker, e.g. in odontoblast stem cell research.

Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Description: Members of the mTERF (mitochondrial transcription termination factor) family, are mitochondrial proteins that are believed to be transcription termination factors. MTERFD1 is composed of three leucine zippers that form a three-stranded coiled-coil that binds to DNA. It binds promoter DNA and acts as a mitochondrial transcription regulator. It has been suggested that only the phosphorylated form of MTERFD1 has transcription termination activity. A closely related mTERF family member, MTERFD3, is believed to be involved in cell cycle regulation and cell growth by modulating mitochondrial transcription.

Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Description: Produced through a multi-stage process that includes delipidation, salt fractionation, ion-exchange chromatography, gel filtration, and affinity chromatography. No contaminating proteins are observed when assayed at a protein concentration of 20mg/mL against anti-whole serum or anti-fragment specific antisera. All immunoglobulin fragments are prepared from highly purified, whole molecules subject to enzymatic digestion.

Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Description: The MAK10 gene encodes a 733-amino acid protein with several regions of similarity to T cell receptor alpha-subunit V (variable) regions in yeast. The mammalian homologue of yeast MAK10, also known as EGAP, is one subunit of a novel N-terminal acetyltransferase (NAT) that is highly conserved among vertebrate species. It is expressed in a variety of tissues in the developing rat embryo but restricted in expression in the adult, remaining detectable only in tissues undergoing continual cell renewal or in cells responding to pathological injury. The MAK10-NAT complex is an essential regulatory enzyme controlling the function of a subset of proteins required for embryonic growth control and vessel development. This complex functionally co-assembles in mammalian cells to regulate cell proliferation and is essential for embryonic development, at least in part through the regulation of target of rapamycin (TOR) signaling events. At least two isoforms of MAK10 are known to exist.

Catalog Number: (75928-916)
Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Description: IL-36A is a member of the interleukin 1 cytokine family whose gene and eight other interleukin 1 family genes form a cytokine gene cluster on chromosome 2 (1). IL-36A is thought to activate the NF-kappaB pathway through IL-1 receptor family members IL-1RL2 and IL-1RAcP (2). Like the related proteins IL-36B and IL-36G, IL-36A requires post-translational processing for full agonist activity, but the cleavage mechanism is currently unknown (3). The IL-36 cytokines have been suggested to amplify Th1 responses by enhancing proliferation and Th1 polarization of naive CD4+ T cells (4).

Description: NALP proteins include the apoptosis regulator APAF1 (apoptotic protease activating factor 1) and mammalian NOD-LRR proteins and are thought to be involved in inflammation and reproduction. NALP6, also known as PYPAF5, is highly expressed in granulocytes and T cells and co-localizes with the PYRIN-CARD protein ASC. Co-expression of NALP6 with ASC results in a synergistic activation of NF-kB and activated caspase-1-dependent cytokine processing, suggesting that NALP6 functions in immune cells to coordinate the transduction of pro-inflammatory signals.
