Description: USP10, also known as ubiquitin specific peptidase 10, belongs to the ubiquitin-specific protease family of cysteine proteases. USP10 functions to catalyze the cleavage of ubiquitin from ubiquitin-conjugated protein substrates such as p53/TP53, SNX3 and CFTR. USP10 has been identified as a subunit of DNA-bound androgen receptor (AR) complexes and may play a role in the activity of the DNA-bound androgen receptor complex. USP10 also acts as an essential regulator of p53/TP53 stability and is thought to function as a tumor suppressor.

Description: Periphilin, known as PPHLN1 or gastric cancer antigen Ga50, plays a role in epithelial differentiation and contributes to epidermal integrity and barrier formation. It interacts with periplakin, a known precursor of the cornified cell envelope. Periphilin 1 is ubiquitously expressed and localizes to nucleus and cytoplasm. Existing as eight alternatively spliced isoforms, Periphilin is highly insoluble and contains a putative nuclear localization signal (NLS) within its N-terminal half, a prerequisite for the formation of insoluble complexes and a possible caspase recognition sequence and a potential nuclear export signal. Periphilin may play an important role in the nervous system.

Description: Nuclear factor kappa B (NF-kB) is a ubiquitous transcription factor and an essential mediator of gene expression during activation of immune and inflammatory responses. NF-kB mediates the expression of a great variety of genes in response to extracellular stimuli including IL-1, TNFa, LPS and mitogens. A serine/threonine protein kinase which mediates NF-kB activation by IL-1, TNFa and CD95 was identified recently and designated NIK (for NF-kB inducing kinase). NIK is an activator of IkB kinase alpha and beta (IKKa and IKKb). Therefore, NIK is a key molecule in the NF-kB signaling pathway leading to the induction of a variety of gene expression in response to proinflammatory cytokines and bacteria products.

Description: Produced through a multi-stage process that includes delipidation, salt fractionation, ion-exchange chromatography, gel filtration, and affinity chromatography. No contaminating proteins are observed when assayed at a protein concentration of 20mg/mL against anti-whole serum or anti-fragment specific antisera. All immunoglobulin fragments are prepared from highly purified, whole molecules subject to enzymatic digestion.

Description: Vimentin is the major protein subunit of the 10nm or intermediate filaments (IFs) found in many kinds of mesenchymal and epithelial cells as well as developing neuronal and astrocytic precursor cells in the CNS. Vimentin is thought to be critically involved in lymphocyte adhesion and transmigration. Copolymers are frequently formed between vimentin and other IFs, such as GFAP (in many kinds of astrocytes), desmin (in muscle cells) and neurofilament proteins (in developing neurons). Antibodies to vimentin are useful in studies of stem cells and generally to reveal the filamentous cytoskeleton. Recent studies suggest that vimentin affects prostate cancer cells motility and invasiveness. Vimentin Antibody is ideal for researchers interested in neuroscience research.
