Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Description: The PPFIA3 protein is a member of the LAR protein-tyrosine phosphatase-interacting protein (liprin) family, a family of transmembrane protein tyrosine phosphatases known to be important for axon guidance and mammary gland development (1). Similar to the other liprin family members, PPFIA3 can interact with ERC2, a member of the ELKS-Rab6-interacting protein-CAST family of proteins at the presynaptic termini, suggesting that these proteins may play a role in the molecular organization of presynaptic zones (2).

Catalog Number: (75929-188)
Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Description: Involucrin is a keratinocyte protein that first appears in the cell cytosol, but ultimately becomes cross-linked to membrane proteins by transglutaminase. The gene consists of 585 amino acids, 390 of which form a central decapeptide repeat, rich in glutamine and glutamic acid. The involucrin gene, encoding a protein of the terminally differentiated keratinocyte, is polymorphic in the human. Involucrin has previously been mapped to chromosome 1q21. The epidermal protein involucrin has been remodeled in the higher primates. And the existence of two populations of East Asian involucrin alleles gives support for the existence of a Eurasian stem lineage from which Caucasians and a part of the Asian population originated. This antibody is suitable for researchers interested in skin cell research.

Description: Transmembrane protein 204 (TMEM204) is a four-transmembrane protein that is induced under hypoxic conditions. It localizes to cell-cell junctions and co-localizes with the beta-catenin adherens junction-associated protein, but not with tight junctions. Overexpression of TMEM204 results in decreased adhesion between cells, indicating that TMEM204 is an adherens junction protein that modulates cell adhesion and potentially angiogenesis. Recent evidence suggests TMEM204 may also be involved in epilepsy.

Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Description: Moesin (or membrane-organizing extension spike protein) belongs to ERM family that modulates epithelial integrity by regulating cell-signalling events that affect actin organization and polarity (1). The effects of Moesin on epithelial cells appear to result from inhibition of Rho signaling. ERM proteins serve a structural role in linkage of the cytoskeletion to the plasma membrane and the rescue of cells lacking Moesin by modulation of Rho signaling indicates that inhibition of Rho activity may be a more critical function of Moesin. The negative feedback loop produced by Rho's activation of ERM may be an important mechanism that prevents the excessive migratory and invasive properties characteristic of metastatic cancer cells (2). Moesin Protein is ideal for investigators involved in Signaling Reagents, Protein Substrates, Inflammation, and PKA/PKC Pathway research.
