Description: Probable E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase. The BRCA1-BARD1 heterodimer specifically mediates the formation of 'Lys-6'-linked polyubiquitin chains and coordinates a diverse range of cellular pathways such as DNA damage repair, ubiquitination and transcriptional regulation to maintain genomic stability. Plays a central role in the control of the cell cycle in response to DNA damage. Acts by mediating ubiquitin E3 ligase activity that is required for its tumor suppressor function. Also forms a heterodimer with CSTF1/CSTF-50 to modulate mRNA processing and RNAP II stability by inhibiting pre-mRNA 3' cleavage.

Description: The process of mRNA splicing required assembly of pre-mRNA into a large, dynamic RNA-protein complex, in which 5 small nuclear RNAs and more than 50 protein components are incorporated into functional small nuclear ribonucleoproteins(snRNPs). SART3 interacts with U6 snRNA and functioned as a U6-specific recycling factor responsible for regeneration of base-paired U4/U6 snRNPs from post-spliceosomal free U4 and U6 snRNPs. Also it can interact and regulate Tat transactivation activity, and act as a cellular factor for HIV-1 gene expession and viral replicaiton.

Description: Y box binding protein 1(YBX1) is one of cis-acting elements which has a role in regulation of the expression of HLA class II genes. YBX1 is great of importance in regulation of PTP1B expression. It can bind to splice sites mediate pre-mRNA alternative splicing regulation. Also it involves in the regulation of translation by modulation of the interaction between the mRNA and eukaryotic initiation factors. Its transcriptional activity on the multidrug resistance gene MDR1 is enhanced in presence of the APEX1 acetylated form at 'Lys-6' and 'Lys-7'. The secreted form acts as an extracellular mitogen and stimulates cell migration and proliferation

Description: Component of the eukaryotic translation initiation factor 3 (eIF-3) complex, which is required for several steps in the initiation of protein synthesis. The eIF-3 complex associates with the 40S ribosome and facilitates the recruitment of eIF-1, eIF-1A, eIF-2:GTP:methionyl-tRNAi and eIF-5 to form the 43S preinitiation complex (43S PIC). The eIF-3 complex stimulates mRNA recruitment to the 43S PIC and scanning of the mRNA for AUG recognition. The eIF-3 complex is also required for disassembly and recycling of posttermination ribosomal complexes and subsequently prevents premature joining of the 40S and 60S ribosomal subunits prior to initiation.

Description: DENR (density-regulated protein), also designated DRP or smooth muscle cell associated protein 3 (SMAP-3), is a 198 amino acid protein that may be involved in the translation of target mRNAs by scanning and recognition of the initiation codon (1). It plays a role in the modulation of the translational profile of a subset of cancer-related mRNAs when recruited to the translational initiation complex by the oncogene MCTS1 (2,3). DENR contains a SUI1 domain and is found in a variety of tissues with highest levels present in skeletal and cardiac muscle. It is up-regulated in ovarian and breast cancer cells by ERBB2 overexpression (4).

Description: METTL3 is a key S-adenosyl-L-methionine-binding subunit, which is component of a complex multicomponent enzyme that catalyzes the methylation of internal adenosine residues in eukaryotic mRNA, forming N6-methyladenosine. It contains 2 putative nuclear localization signals and 2 consensus methylation motifs.

Description: ZIP10, also known as Slc39A10, is a widely expressed zinc transporter with nine transmembrane domains. Zinc is an essential ion for cells and plays significant roles in the growth, development, and differentiation. ZIP10 mRNA was found to be significantly decreased in the intestines and kidneys of hypothyroid rats and increased in those of hyperthyroid rats, indicating that ZIP10 is positively regulated by thyroid hormones. ZIP10 mRNA was also found to be upregulated in invasive and metastatic breast cancer and cell lines, suggesting that ZIP10 could serve as a possible marker for the metastatic phenotype and possibly a target for novel treatment strategies.

Description: YBX2 Antibody: Germ cell specific Y-box binding protein (YBX2), a germ-cell-specific member of the Y-box family of DNA-/RNA-binding proteins, is a major constituent of messenger ribonucleoprotein particles (mRNPs) and involved in the regulation of the stability and/or translation of germ cell mRNAs. It is proposed to function as a coactivator of transcription in the nucleus and to stabilize and store maternal and paternal mRNAs in the cytoplasm. YBX2 binds to the Y-box consensus promoter element and is expressed in oocytes and testicular germ cells in the stage of spermatogonia to spermatocyte. Recent studies show that deletion of YBX2 leads to the disruption of both spermatogenesis and oogenesis.
