Description: 14-3-3 proteins are highly conserved proteins which play a role in both signal transduction and progression through the cell cycle by binding to and regulating several different proteins. 14-3-3 proteins activate tyrosine and tryptophan hydroxylases and protein kinase C. They mediate signal transduction by binding to phosphoserine-containing proteins. There are at least 7 mammalian isoforms: alpha, beta, gamma, delta, epsilon, zeta, and eta. An eighth subtype, termed theta has been found in rat brain. The 14-3-3 proteins exists in vitro and in vivo as either homo- or heterodimers which interact via their N-terminal domains and are subject to phosphorylation by protein kinase C. 14-3-3 proteins are localized in the cytoplasma of neurons in the cerebral cortex and are axonally transported to the nerve terminals. They may be present at lower levels in various other eukaryotic tissues. Northern blot analysis has shown expression of the eta chain in cultured cell lines derived from various tumors.

Description: WARS2(tryptophan--tRNA ligase, mitochondrial) is also called mitochondrial TRPRS and belongs to the class-I aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase family. The gene encodes the protein containing 360-amino acid ,which has an N-terminal mitochondrial targeting signal that is cleaved after residue 18. WARS2 has characteristics of a class I aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase, including a classical Rossmann fold. It has 2 isoforms produced by alternative splicing.

Description: Indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase (IDO) is a heme enzyme that initiates the oxidative degradation of the least abundant, essential amino acid, l-tryptophan, along the kynurenine pathway. This protein is normally expressed in the dendritic cells, macrophages, microglia, eosinophils, fibroblasts, endothelial cells, and most tumor cells. IDO activity is associated with immunosuppression and immune attenuation. Several studies showed that IDO can contribute to immune escape when expressed directly in tumor cells or when expressed in immunosuppressive antigen presenting cells such as tolerogenic dendritic cells or tumor associated macrophages. IDO also is a promising therapeutic target for the treatment of cancer, chronic viral infections, and other diseases characterized by pathological immune suppression.

Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Description: 14-3-3ε also known as tyrosine 3-monooxygenase/tryptophan 5-monooxygenase activation protein is a member of the 14-3-3 family. 14-3-3ε has been reported to be involved in heat shock transcription factor 1 (HSF1) and extracellular signal regulated protein kinase (ERK) pathways (1). 14-3-3ε interaction with the deubiquitinating enzyme UBPY, also known as USP8, regulates cargo sorting and membrane traffic at early endosomes. Association of 14-3-3ε, HSF1 with ERK during heat shock may modulate the amplitude of the response and control the termination of HSP expression on resumption of growth conditions (2). 14-3-3ε protein is ideal for investigators involved in Cell Stress & Chaperone Proteins, Cell Signaling, Cancer research, Cell Cycle, Cellular Stress, Neurobiology, and WNT Signaling research.

Description: Pep-1 is one of the synthetic cell-penetrating peptides (CPPs), which has been successfully used to deliver a variety of proteins and other biopharmaceutical macromolecules into cells in a non-disruptive way. It is a CPP with primary amphipathicity (i.e amphipathicity resulting from the amino acid sequence itself, not from the folding structure) that comprises a tryptophan-rich so-called ‘hydrophobic’ domain, a hydrophilic domain derived from an NLS (nuclear localization signal) of SV40 (simian virus 40) large T-antigen, and a spacer between them.

Description: GTP cyclohydrolase I (also designated dopa-responsive dystonia) catalyzes the conversion of GTP to D-erythro-7,8-dihydroneopterin triphosphate, the first and rate-limiting step in tetrahydrobiopterin (BH4) biosynthesis. Tetrahydrobiopterin is an essential cofactor for 3 aromatic amino acid monooxygenases: phenylalanine, tyrosine, and tryptophan hydroxylases. Animals can synthesize tetrahydrobiopterin in vivo from GTP through several enzymatic reactions.

Description: 14-3-3 are activates tyrosine and tryptophan hydroxylases in the presence of Ca (2+)/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II, and strongly activates protein kinase C. Is probably a multifunctional regulator of the cell signaling processes mediated by both kinases. Activates the ADP-ribosyltransferase (exoS) activity of bacterial origin. 14-3-3 proteins are localized in neurons, and are axonally transported to the nerve terminals. They may be also present, at lower levels, in various other eukaryotic tissues. It belongs to the 14-3-3 family. This antibody is reactive with 14-3-3 Alpha/Beta/Gamma/Delta/Epsilon.
