OSHA's Requirements Have Changed
Have you heard? OSHA has made important safety updates that affect your school's chemistry department and chemical storage systems. These changes went into effect on June 1, 2016 and include the adoption of the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals - the way you label, handle, and store the chemicals in your chemistry lab.
If you haven't taken steps to ensure your chemistry lab meets GHS requirements, your school is now at risk of costly fines and penalties.
