Description: Produced through a multi-stage process that includes delipidation, salt fractionation, ion-exchange chromatography, gel filtration, and affinity chromatography. No contaminating proteins are observed when assayed at a protein concentration of 20mg/mL against anti-whole serum or anti-fragment specific antisera. All immunoglobulin fragments are prepared from highly purified, whole molecules subject to enzymatic digestion.

Catalog Number: (75930-490)
Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Description: Apoptosis, also known as programmed cell death, plays major roles in development and normal tissue turnover in addition to tumor formation. Apoptosis is regulated by death domain (DD) and/or caspase recruitment domain (CARD) containing molecules and the caspase family of proteases. CARD domain containing cell death regulators include RAIDD, Apaf-1, caspase-9, and caspase-2. A novel CARD domain containing protein was recently identified and designated ARC for apoptosis repressor with CARD. An alternate splicing isoform of ARC was identified as Nop30. While ARC interacts with caspase-2 and -8 and suppresses apoptosis induced by cell death adapters FADD and TRADD and by cell death receptors Fas, TNFR-1 and DR3, Nop30 multimerizes and binds to the splicing factor SRp30c and may act to influence alternative splice site selection in vivo. The Nop30 antibody will not detect ARC protein.

Description: TRIM24 (TIF1), a member of the tripartite motif (TRIM) family, plays a role in the regulation of cell proliferation and apoptosis. TRIM24 localizes to nuclear bodies and is thought to associate with chromatin and heterochromatin-associated factors. The TRIM motif includes three zinc-binding domains (RING, B-box type 1 and B-box type 2) and a coiled-coil region. TIF1 mediates transcriptional events by interactions with the AF2 region of several nuclear receptors, such as the estrogen, retinoic acid and vitamin D3 receptors. Defects in TRIM24 are a cause of thyroid papillary carcinoma (TPC).

Description: Iododeoxyuridine (5-Iodo-2'-deoxyuridine, IdU) is a synthetic thymidine nucleoside analog. IdU, like BrdU thymidine analog, is used to allow the detection of growing or proliferating cells in living tissues. During the S-phase of cell division, DNA replication occurs, and IdU can be incorporated into the newly synthesized DNA by substituting for naturally occurring thymidine. Antibodies specific for IdU are subsequently used to detect the incorporated IdU thymidine analog. This highlights cells that were actively replicating their DNA and is suggestive of actively growing cells. Antibody binding usually requires the DNA to be denatured, typically by exposing the cells to acid or heat.

Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Description: Lyophilized Non-Sterile Serum

Catalog Number: (75933-776)
Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Description: The zinc finger protein 687 (ZNF687) was initially identified as a translocation partner gene with RUNX1 in patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Little is known of the function of the ZNF687 protein, but it has been shown to weakly interact with the Ring1/Rnf2 RING finger protein member of the Polycomb group of proteins, suggesting it may be involved in the chromatin-modifying complexes essential for embryonic development and stem cell renewal. Other evidence suggests that ZNF687 may be part of a transcriptional network that also includes ZNF592 and ZMYMD8.

Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Description: The T-cell immune regulator 1 (TCIRG1) is the a3 subunit of the vacuolar-type proton transporting ATPase (V-ATPase), a proton pump in late endosomes and lysosomes that functions in the luminal acidification of these organelles. Genetic defects in the gene encoding this protein a responsible for a severe form of autosomal recessive osteopetrosis, a condition that leads to increased bone density, decreased bone strength, and inflammation in bone tissues. TCIRG1 is also required for the normal secretion of insulin and the bacteria-killing function of macrophages.

Catalog Number: (75931-868)
Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Description: SHQ1 is the human homolog of yeast Shq1p, a protein that acts as an accessory factor in the assembly of H/ACA ribonucleoproteins. SHQ1 has been shown to bind the major H/ACA core protein and the pseudouridine synthase NAP57, but precedes the assembly role of NAF1 and of the other H/ACA core proteins. SHQ1 assists in the assembly of H/ACA-box ribonucleoproteins that function in the processing of ribosomal RNAs, modification of spliceosomal small nuclear RNAs, and stabilization of telomerase.

Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Description: Nicalin, along with its binding partner Nomo, is a novel signaling antagonist to Nodals, signaling factors of the TGF-b superfamily that play a key role in vertebrate development. Nicalin is distantly related to Nicastrin, a component of the Alzheimer's disease-associated gamma-secretase, and is thought to have a similar function. Another protein, TMEM147, has also been recently identified as associating with Nicalin and NOMO as part of the gamma-secretase-like complex.

Catalog Number: (75930-866)
Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Description: PHF14, a novel plant homology domain (PHD) transcription factor, controls the proliferation of mesenchymal cells by regulating PDGFR alpha expression in embryonic development (1). PHD finger transcription factors are concerned with transcriptional regulation by interacting with modified histones (2), and dysregulation of several genes encoding PHD finger transcription factors, such as ING1 and RBP2, has been found in human cancer diseases suggesting these factors have an important role for cancer cell proliferation. PHF14 is a potential target for new treatments of lung fibrosis (1, 3).

Catalog Number: (75933-434)
Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Description: ULK3 belongs to the Ser/Thr protein kinase superfamily and plays a role in the ATP-dependent phosphorylation of target proteins (1). Knockout of ULK genes results in a severe defect in the autophagy pathway (2). ULK3, like the other Unc-51-like kinases such as ULK1, ULK2 and ULK4, is highly conserved among eukaryotes (3). ULK3 has been shown to be a positive regulator of the Hedgehog signaling pathway by enhancing GLI1 and GLI2 transcriptional activity (4). Furthermore, ULK3 can also interact with SUFU, a protein required for the negative regulation of GLI proteins; this interaction blocks the autophosphorylation of ULK3 and blocks its ability to regulate the GLI proteins (5).
