Description: STEAP3 Antibody: The six-transmembrane epithelial antigen of prostate 3 (STEAP3) is a member of a family of metalloreductases identified as cell-surface antigens in prostate tissue. Similar to two other members of the STEAP family (STEAP 2 and STEAP4), STEAP3 promotes both iron and copper reduction. STEAP3 is highly expressed in hematopoietic tissues and colocalizes with the transferrin endosome. Overexpression of STEAP3 stimulates iron reduction; mice lacking STEAP3 are deficient in erythroid ferrireductase activity, suggesting that STEAP3 is an endosomal ferrireductase required for transferrin-dependent iron uptake in erythroid cells.

Description: UBE2S is a member of the ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme family. It is able to form a thiol ester linkage with ubiquitin in a ubiquitin activating enzyme-dependent manner, a characteristic property of ubiquitin carrier proteins. This gene encodes a member of the ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme family. The encoded protein is able to form a thiol ester linkage with ubiquitin in a ubiquitin activating enzyme-dependent manner, a characteristic property of ubiquitin carrier proteins.

Description: KHSRP binds to the dendritic targeting element and may play a role in mRNA trafficking. It is part of a ternary complex that binds to the downstream control sequence (DCS) of the pre-mRNA. KHSRP mediates exon inclusion in transcripts that are subject to tissue-specific alternative splicing. It may interact with single-stranded DNA from the far-upstream element (FUSE).It is also involved in degradation of inherently unstable mRNAs that contain AU-rich elements (AREs) in their 3'-UTR, possibly by recruiting degradation machinery to ARE-containing mRNAs.

Description: Sonic Hedgehog Homolog (SHH) belongs to a three-protein family called hedgehog. The other two family members are Indian Hedgehog (IHH) and Desert Hedgehog (DHH). Hedgehog proteins are key signaling molecules in embryonic development. SHH is expressed in various embryonic tissues and plays critical roles in regulating the patterning of many systems, such as limbs and brain. SHH also plays an important role in adult, including the division of adult stem cells and the development of certain cancers and other diseases. Human SHH is expressed as a 45kDa precursor, and undergoes a series of processing during secretion. After the removal of the signal peptide, a protease within the C-terminal domain catalyzes the cleavage of SHH into a 20 kDa N-terminal signaling domain (SHH-N) and a 25 kDa C-terminal domain (SHH-C). SHH-N has the “all signaling” capability. SHH-N binds to the 12 pass transmembrane protein Patched (Ptc) on cell surface, which releases the repression of the activity of Smoothened (Smo), a G-protein coupled receptor, by Ptc.

Description: NR1D2 can interact with NCOA5 coactivator, leading to a strong increase of transcription of target genes. NR1D2 also binds to the sequences 5'-AATGTAGGTCA-3' and 5'-ATAACTAGGTCA-3' and acts as a potent competitive transcriptional silencer and negative regulator of RORalpha mediated trans-activation. NR1D2 may play different roles in metabolism, inflammation, and circadian cycling in the organ-specific manner in homeostasis.

Description: FRMPD1 Antibody: The FERM and PDZ domain containing (FRMPD) protein family consists of four proteins that contain a FERM (Four-point-one, erzin, radixin, moesin) domain and at least one PDZ (PSD-95/Discs large/Zonula-occuldens-1) domain. FRMPD1 was initially identified through a yeast two-hybrid screening with Activator of G-protein signaling 3 (AGS3), a protein that acts to stabilize the GDP-bound conformation of Gai, as the bait. FRMPD1 binds to the tetratricopeptide repeat of AGS3 and stabilizes AGS3 in a membrane environment. Suppression of FRMPD1 in Cath.a-differentiated neuronal cells decreased the level of endogenous AGS3 in membrane fractions by ~50% and enhanced the inhibition of forskolin-induced increases in cAMP. Co-immunoprecipitation studies indicate that the interaction of AGS3 with FRMPD1 is mutually exclusive with the interaction of AGS3 with Gai3, suggesting that FRMPD1 may position AGS3 in the membrane where it can then interact with Galphai.

Description: Epithelial Cell Adhesion Molecule (EpCAM) is a signal type I transmembrane glycoprotein that belongs to the EPCAM family. EpCAM is composed of an extracellular domain with one thyroglobulin type-1 domain, a transmembrane domain and a cytoplasmic domain. EpCAM is found on the surface of adenocarcinoma, but not on mesodermal or neural cell membranes. The EpCAM molecule has been shown to function as a homophilic Ca2+ independent adhesion molecule. It may act as a physical homophilic interaction molecule between intestinal epithelial cells (IECs) and intraepithelial lymphocytes (IELs) at the mucosal epithelium as an immunological barrier providing the first line of defense against infection. Defects in EPCAM are a cause of hereditary non-polyposis colorectal cancer type 8 (HNPCC8) and diarrhea type 5 (DIAR5). EpCAM plays a role in embryonic stem cells proliferation and differentiation; it up-regulates the expression of FABP5, MYC and Cyclin A and Cyclin E. It is highly and selectively expressed by undifferentiated embryonic stem cells.
