Description: POLE3 is a histone-fold protein that interacts with other histone-fold proteins to bind DNA in a sequence-independent manner. These histone-fold protein dimers combine within larger enzymatic complexes for DNA transcription, replication, and packaging. Description: The CD28.2 monoclonal antibody specifically binds with the human 44 kDa homodimeric trans-membrane glycoprotein CD28, expressed on the surface of most mature T lymphocytes, plasma cells, and thymocytes. CD28 is a ligand for B7-1 (CD80) and B7-2 (CD86), a co-stimulator of T lymphocytes, and enhances the interaction between T and B lymphocytes. It has been reported that the T lymphocytes stimulation to produce IL-2 depends on the monoclonal antibody involved, which suggests that the CD28 molecule presents some subregions with distinct functions. The CD28.2 antibody induces Ca2+ influx in Jurkat T lymphocytes. Other studies have shown that CD28 is involved in the signal transduction.

Description: This antibody recognizes proteins of 80-200kDa, identified as different members of CEA family. CEA is synthesized during development in the fetal gut and is re-expressed in increased amounts in intestinal carcinomas and several other tumors. This mAb does not react with nonspecific cross-reacting antigen (NCA) and with human polymorphonuclear leucocytes. It shows no reaction with a variety of normal tissues and is suitable for staining of formalin/paraffin tissues. CEA is not found in benign glands, stroma, or malignant prostatic cells. Antibody to CEA is useful in detecting early foci of gastric carcinoma and in distinguishing pulmonary adenocarcinomas (60-70% are CEA+) from pleural mesotheliomas (rarely or weakly CEA+). Anti-CEA positivity is seen in adenocarcinomas from the lung, colon, stomach, esophagus, pancreas, gallbadder, urachus, salivary gland, ovary, and endocervix.

Description: Phosphatidylinositol 3,4,5-trisphosphate-dependent guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) which, independently of RAS, transduces signals from tyrosine kinase receptors to RAC. SWAP70 also mediates signaling of membrane ruffling. It regulates the actin cytoskeleton as an effector or adapter protein in response to agonist stimulated phosphatidylinositol (3,4)-bisphosphate production and cell protrusion.

Description: FCHSD1 Antibody: The FCH and double SH3 domains protein 1 (FCHSD1, also known as NWK2) and the related protein FCHSD2 were initially identified in silico as distantly related proteins to FNBP1 and FNBP2. Both share the common domain structure consisting of FCH, FBH, two SH3 and C-terminal proline-rich domains. While little is known of the function of FCHSD1, the related protein NWK is an adaptor protein that is thought to regulate Rho activity downstream of Robo receptors, suggesting that FCHSD1 may be involved in synaptic morphology by regulating actin dynamics in presynaptic terminals.

Description: Galactocerebrosides are abundant sphingolipids of the myelin membrane of the central nervous system and peripheral nervous system and are also present in small amounts in kidney. The key enzymatic step in the biosynthesis of galactocerebrosides consists of the transfer of galactose to ceramide catalyzed by UDP-galactose ceramide galactosyltransferase (CGT, EC 2.4.1.45). The enzyme encoded by the CGT gene is the first involved in complex lipid biosynthesis in the myelinating oligodendrocyte.[supplied by OMIM].

Description: MORF4 Antibody: Cellular senescence is the terminal non-dividing state that normal cells enter following completion of their proliferative potential. Fusions of immortal human cell lines with each other have led to their assignment to one of four complementation groups. Mortality factor 4 (MORF4) was identified as the lead member of a family of transcription factor-like proteins that reverses this immortal phenotype. Like other members in this family, MORF4 is localized to the nucleus and possesses transcription factor-like motifs such as helix-loop-helix and a leucine zipper motif that might allow it to form transcriptionally active homo- or heterodimers. MORF4 has been shown to bind to the transcription corepressors mSin3A and TLE, suggesting that together, these complexes may play a role in transcriptional repression of genes that lead to cellular senescence.

Description: SLPI Antibody: Secretory leukocyte protease inhibitor (SLPI) is produced at mucosal surfaces, primarily the upper respiratory tract and is thought to play an important role in the antiprotease defense mechanism of the lung. SLPI forms inhibitory complexes with numerous proteolytic enzymes such as neutrophil elastase, and has been shown to possess anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, and antibacterial activities. Its expression in oral epithelial cells is stimulated by HIV-1 gp120, suggesting that SLPI is a component of the oral mucosal response to HIV-1. In peripheral blood monocytes, SLPI can inhibit NF-kappa B activation by inhibiting I kappa B degradation in the cytoplasm and competing for NF-kappa B binding sites in the nucleus. This attenuation of the inflammatory response may also act to suppress liver metastases and other cancer cell invasions, but promote blood-borne metastasis via an invasion-independent pathway.
