Description: Interleukin 5 (IL-5) is a cytokine produced primarily by activated T lymphocytes. It exists as an antiparallel disulfide linked homodimeric glycoprotein with 115 amino acid residues in each chain. Known also as EDF (eosinophil differentiating factor), functions predominantly as an eosinophilopoietic factor. Analysis of its crystal structure reveals a novel two domain structure, with each domain showing significant homology to the cytokine fold in GMCSF, MCSF, IL-2, IL-4 and growth hormone. Human and mouse IL-5 have 70% amino acid sequence homology.

Western blot: To detect hIL-11 by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 1.0-2.0 ug/mL. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant hIL-11 is 0.25-0.50 ng/lane, under non-reducing conditions.

Description: ORAI3 Antibody: Antigen stimulation of immune cells triggers Ca++ entry through Ca++ release-activated Ca++ (CRAC) channels. ORAI3 is one of two mammalian homologs to ORAI1, a recently identified four-transmembrane spanning protein that is an essential component of CRAC. All three homologs have been shown to function as Ca++ plasma membrane channels gated through interactions with STIM1, the store-activated endoplasmic reticulum Ca++ sensor. However, ORAI3 channels failed to produce detectable Ca++ selective currents in cells co-transfected with ORAI3 and STIM1, indicating that ORAI3 channels undergo a lesser degree of depotentiation than ORAI1 or ORAI2. Na+ currents through ORAI1, 2 and 3 channels were equally inhibited by extracellular Ca++, indicating that each have similar affinities for Ca++ within the selectivity filter.

Description: KLHL3 protein contains a poxvirus and zinc finger domain at the N-terminus and six tandem repeats (kelch repeats) at the C-terminus. At the amino acid level, KLHL3 shares 77% similarity with Drosophila kelch and 89% similarity with Mayven (KLHL2), another human kelch homolog. At least three isoforms are produced and may be the result of alternative promoter usage. The KLHL3 maps within the smallest commonly deleted segment in myeloid leukemias characterized by a deletion of 5q; however, no inactivating mutations of KLHL3 could be detected in malignant myeloid disorders with loss of 5q.
