Description: MDM2, a ubiquitin ligase for p53, plays a central role in regulation of the stability of p53. Akt-mediated phosphorylation of MDM2 at Ser166 and Ser186 increases its interaction with p300, allowing MDM2-mediated ubiquitination and degradation of p53. Phosphorylation of MDM2 also blocks its binding to p19ARF, increasing the degradation of p53.

Description: RNF8 Antibody: RNF8 was identified as a ubiquitin ligase (E3) containing a RING finger motif and a FHA domain. This protein has been shown to interact with several class II ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes including UBE2E1/UBCH6, UBE2E2, and UBE2E3. RNF8 assembles at DNA double-strand breaks (DSBs) via interactions though the FHA domain with the adaptor protein MDC1, resulting in an increase in DSB-associated H2A histone ubiquitinations mediated by the associated ubiquitin ligase RNF168 followed by the accumulation of 53BP1 and BRCA1 repair proteins. Together with RNF168, RNF8 plays an integral part of class switch recombination in B cells, allowing the production of several classes of antibodies, through the recruitment of 53BP1 and BRCA1 to the DSB sites.

Description: CDNF Antibody: The conserved dopamine neurotrophic factor (CDNF) is a neurotrophic factor for dopaminergic neurons and highly homologous to the mesencephalic-astrocyte-derived neuro-trophic factor. Somewhat surprisingly, CDCF is expressed at higher levels in tissues such as heart, skeletal muscle and testes than in brain. Similar to the glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF), CDNF can prevent the 6-hydroxylamine (6-OHDA)-induced degeneration of dopaminergic neurons in a rat model of Parkinson's disease. Furthermore, CDNF was able to restore the dopaminergic function and prevent the degeneration of dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra, suggesting that CDNF might be suitable for the treatment of Parkinson's disease. At least two isoforms of CDNF are known to exist.

Description: SIPA1L3 Antibody: Signal-induced proliferation associated-like protein 2 (SIPA1L3) is a member of the SIPA1 family of RapGAPs. SIPA1L3 was cloned as a novel molecular component of tight junctions and adherens junctions, suggesting that may function to balance Rap1 by counteracting RapGEFs. Recent studies of SIPA indicate that its deregulation can cause myeloproliferative stem cell disorders in mice and increased metastases in human cancers. Other studies suggest SIPA1L1 may play important roles in embryo development and control of cell proliferation. Based on the amount of homology between SIPA family members, it is possible that SIPA1L3 plays other roles development and cell proliferation.

Description: Galactose-1-phosphate uridyl transferase (GALT) catalyzes the second step of the Leloir pathway of galactose metabolism, namely the conversion of UDP-glucose + galactose-1-phosphate to glucose-1-phosphate + UDP-galactose. The absence of this enzyme results in classic galactosemia in humans and can be fatal in the newborn period if lactose is not removed from the diet. The pathophysiology of galactosemia has not been clearly defined. Description: The MTS510 monoclonal antibody specifically reacts with the Toll-Like Receptor 4 (TLR-4) and MD-2 (LY96) molecular complex. The complex of TLR-4, MD-2, and CD14 regulates the innate immune system recognition of bacterial lipopolysaccharides (LPS) and is expressed on the surface of thioglycollate-elicited macrophages. The epitope that binds the MTS510 antibody is lost after LPS stimulation and the antibody can be used to co-immunoprecipitates MD-2 and TLR4.

Description: The LRRC26 protein was initially identified as a cytokeratin-associated protein whose expression was elevated in multiple cancer cell lines and cancer specimens as well in normal prostate and salivary gland tissues. LRRC26 was later found to negatively regulate the NF-kappaB activation and suppresses tumor growth and metastasis. LRRC26 can also act to selectively alter the efficacy of large conductance calcium-activated K (BK) channels.

Description: TINAGL1 is a secreted protein and contains one SMB (somatomedin-B) domain. TINAGL1 is expressed in aorta, lymph nodes, heart, bone marrow, placenta, lung, kidney, skeletal muscle, pancreas, thyroid, adrenal gland and so on. TINAGL1 may be implicated in the adrenocortical zonation and in mechanisms for repressing the CYP11B1 gene expression in adrenocortical cells.

Description: The adipocytokine resistin which belongs to a family of cysteine-rich C-terminal proteins known as resistin-like molecules (RELM; RELMalpha/FIZZ 1 and RELMbeta/FIZZ 2) of FIZZ (found in inflammatory zone) are thought to be involved in inflammatory processes. Previous studies in mice showed that resistin impairs glucose tolerance and insulin action. In addition, resistin also inhibits adipogenesis in murine 3T3-L1 cells. Therefore resistin has also been proposed as an adipocyte-secreted factor thought to link obesity and T2DM.

Description: PUMA Monoclonal Antibody: Apoptosis is related to many diseases and development. The p53 tumor-suppressor protein induces apoptosis through transcriptional activation of several genes. A novel p53 inducible pro-apoptotic gene was identified recently and designated PUMA (for p53 upregulated modulator of apoptosis) and bbc3 (for Bcl-2 binding component 3) in human and mouse. PUMA/bbc3 is one of the pro-apoptotic Bcl-2 family members including Bax and Noxa, which are also transcriptional targets of p53. The PUMA gene encodes two BH3 domain-containing proteins termed PUMAalpha and PUMAbeta ;. PUMA proteins bind Bcl-2, localize to the mitochondria, and induce cytochrome c release and apoptosis in response to p53. PUMA may be a direct mediator of p53-induced apoptosis.

Description: GOLPH1 Antibody: GOLPH1, also known as GCP60, was initially identified as a Golgi protein that can interact with the integral membrane protein giantin and is thought to be involved in the maintenance of the Golgi structure. GOLPH1 has also been shown to interact with other Golgi proteins such as Golgin-160, a Golgi protein that can be cleaved by caspases-2, -3, and -7, leading to the nuclear localization of Golgin-160. GOLPH1 interaction with the Golgin-160 fragments is stronger than that with the intact Golgin-160, with its interaction regulated by the oxidation state of Cys-463 within GOLPH1, suggesting that the nuclear localization of the caspase-cleaved Golgin-160 fragments is a highly coordinated event. GOLPH1 has also been found to interact with Numb, a cytosolic signaling protein that mediates asymetric cell division of neural progenitor cells to a daughter progenitor cell and a neuron, suggesting that Golgi fragmentation and reconstitution during the cell cycle differentially regulate Numb signaling through changes in GOLPH1 subcellular distribution and may couple cell fate with cell cycle progression.
