Description: HSFs (Heat Shock family of transcription factors), which consists of HSF 1-4, bind to highly conserved Heat shock elements (HSEs) in the promoter regions of heat shock genes, ultimately regulating the expression of Heat shock proteins (Hsps). On exposure to heat shock and other stresses, HSF1 localizes within seconds to discrete nuclear granules and on recovery from stress, HSF1 rapidly dissipates from the stress granules to a diffuse nucleoplasmic distribution.

Description: The total protein is measured using the Biuret procedure with bovine albumin as the standard. To ensure that the product titer falls within the required range, antibody titer is standardized by microtiter plate ELISA with mouse complement C3. The product is tested for purity and specificity at final concentration by immunoelectrophoresis. The antibody is predominantly goat IgG; no trace of albumin is detected.

Catalog Number: (RL209-403-B94)
Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Description: This purified antibody has been tested for use in ELISA and western blotting. By western blot a band approximately 17.4 kDa in size corresponding to human IL-7 Protein is expected in the appropriate cell lysate or extract.

Catalog Number: (101410-450)
Supplier: Enzo Life Sciences
Description: Mitogenic platelet derived growth factor (PDGF) signaling is mediated by the PDGF tyrosine kinase receptors PDGFRα and PDGFRβ, which exist as homo- or heterodimer isoforms (αα, ββ, αβ). Secretion of PDGFs and expression of PDGFRs in a broad distribution of cell types contributes to regulation of cellular processes including cell growth, actin reorganization, prevention of apoptosis, and chemotaxis. Structurally, the transmembrane PDGFRs are composed of an N-terminal extracellular domain with five immunoglobulin repeats, and an intracellular domain containing two spaced tyrosine kinase domains. PDGF ligands display preferential affinity to PDGFRα and PDGFRβ, with PDGFRβ activation restricted to binding by PDGF BB and PDGF DD. Growth factor binding initiates receptor dimerization and activates the cytosolic tyrosine kinase domains.

Catalog Number: (10801-142)
Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Description: DISP1 is the mammalian homolog of the Drosophila Dispatched segment-polarity gene and a key regulator of the Hedgehog (Hh) signaling pathway during embryonic development. DISP1 is required to move Shh from site of synthesis during embryogenesis; mutations in the gene result in lethality at mid-gestation and prevents specification of ventral cell types in the neural tube. Recent results have shown that DISP1 mediates the basolateral secretion of Shh and regulates growth of mammalian long bones through the control of Ihh.

Supplier: Immunoreagents
Description: ImmunoReagents’ Biotinylated antibody conjugates are widely used due to their ability to enhance antibody signal in most immunoassays. Biotinylated secondary antibodies are used in most immunoassay formats (i.e., ELISA, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), and Western blotting). While Biotinylated antibodies by themselves do not produce a signal that can be visualized, biotin has a high affinity and specificity to Streptavidin/Avidin. Using ImmunoReagents’ streptavidin conjugates with biotinylated antibodies results in signal amplification.

Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Description: Lissencephaly is a severe brain developmental disease characterized by the mislocalization of cortical neurons, a smooth cerebral surface, mental retardation, and seizures. Classical lissencephaly is caused by sporadic mutations in the LIS1 gene. While LIS1 is known to act in a pathway deactivating the lipid messenger platelet-activating factor, LIS1 forms a complex with Nudel and 14-3-3epsilon which is then transported from neuronal cell bodies through the actions of DISC1 and KIF5A, a microtubule-dependent directed motor protein kinesin. Decreased expression of LIS1 blocked neural stem cell division, morphogenesis, and motility, suggesting that LIS1 plays an important role in neuronal cell proliferation and localization in the developing brain. At least two isoforms of LIS1 are known to exist.

Catalog Number: (75934-778)
Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Description: Interferons (IFNs) are involved in a multitude of immune interactions during viral infections and play a major role in both the induction and regulation of innate and adaptive antiviral mechanisms. During infection, host-virus interactions signal downstream molecules such as transcription factors such as IFN regulatory factor-3 (IRF3) which can act to stimulate transcription of IFN-alpha/beta genes. IRF7 has been shown to play a role in the transcriptional activation of virus-inducible cellular genes, including interferon beta chain genes. IRF7 play a major role in the innate immune pathway, interacting with the Toll-like receptor (TLR) adaptor proteins MyD88 and Tirp/TRAM and functioning as an intermediate TLR4 and TLR9 signaling. There are at least four differentially spliced isoforms of IRF7, although their function has not been clearly established.

Catalog Number: (76262-764)
Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Description: NFkB is a pleiotropic transcription factor present in most cell types and is the endpoint of a series of signal transduction events related to many biological processes such as inflammation, immunity, differentiation, cell growth, tumorgenesis and apoptosis. NFkB is contained in the cytoplasm inactively until it is released by a phosphorylated I-kappa-B, allowing the NFkB to translocate to the nucleus. This antibody is ideal for investigators interested in Metabolism, Cancer, Cardiovascular, Microbiology, Epigenetics and Nuclear Signaling, Immunology, Neuroscience, or Cell Biology research.

Supplier: Enzo Life Sciences
Description: Heme Oxygenase-1 (HO-1) also known as Hsp32, is the inducible isoform of heme oxygenase that catalyzes the NADPH, oxygen, and cytochrome P450 reductase dependent oxidation of heme to carbon monoxide, ferrous iron and biliverdin which is rapidly reduced to bilirubin. These products of the HO reaction have important physiological effects: carbon monoxide is a potent vasodilator and has been implicated to be a physiological regulator of cGMP and vascular tone; biliverdin and its product bilirubin are potent antioxidants; "free" iron increases oxidative stress and regulates the expression of many mRNAs (e.g., DCT-1, ferritin and transferring receptor) by affecting the conformation of iron regulatory protein (IRP)-1 and its binding to iron regulatory elements (IREs) in the 5'- or 3'- UTRs of the mRNAs. To date, three identified heme oxygenase isoforms are part of the HO system that catalyze heme into biliverdin and carbon monoxide. These are inducible HO-1 or Hsp32, constitutive HO-2 that is abundant in the brain and testis, and HO-3 which is related to HO-2 but is the product of a different gene. The HO system is the rate-limiting step in heme degradation and HO activity decreases the levels of heme which is a well known potent catalyst of lipid peroxidation and oxygen radical formation.
