Description: CSMD3 belongs to the CSMD family and contains fourteen CUB domains and twenty eight Sushi (CCP/SCR) domains. It is weakly expressed in most tissues, except in brain; expressed at intermediate level in brain, including cerebellum, substantia nigra, thalamus, spinal cord, hippocampus and fetal brain. Also expressed in testis. There are five named isoforms.

Catalog Number: (10459-470)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: Tissue specificity; Isoform 1 is highly expressed in many tissues, including testis, brain, placenta, ovary, prostate and mammary gland. Isoform 2 expression is restricted to the central nervous system including brain, cerebellum and spinal cord.

Catalog Number: (10478-438)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: Members of the Dbx family are implicated in regionalization of the CNS. Dbx2 is restricted to the ventricular region of the embryonic CNS as well as some of the mesenchymal cells, such as limb buds and tooth germs. BMP regulation of the expression boundaries of the homeobox proteins Dbx2, Pax6 and Msx1 generates precursor populations with distinct developmental potentials.

Supplier: Bioss
Description: GTPase-activating protein (GAP) promoting GTP hydrolysis on RHOA, CDC42 and RAC1 small GTPases. May be involved in the differentiation of neuronal cells during the formation of neurite extensions. Involved in NMDA receptor activity-dependent actin reorganization in dendritic spines. May mediate cross-talks between Ras- and Rho-regulated signaling pathways in cell growth regulation. Isoform 2 has higher GAP activity (By similarity).

Catalog Number: (102148-024)
Supplier: Novus Biologicals
Description: OTP Overexpression Lysate (Adult Normal)

Catalog Number: (10406-188)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: During development, promotes the survival and differentiation of selected neuronal populations of the peripheral and central nervous systems. Participates in axonal growth, pathfinding and in the modulation of dendritic growth and morphology. Major regulator of synaptic transmission and plasticity at adult synapses in many regions of the CNS. The versatility of BDNF is emphasized by its contribution to a range of adaptive neuronal responses including long-term potentiation (LTP), long-term depression (LTD), certain forms of short-term synaptic plasticity, as well as homeostatic regulation of intrinsic neuronal excitability.

Supplier: Bioss
Description: Phosphatidate phosphatases are a family of integral membrane glycoproteins that dephosphorylate a variety of lipid phosphates and play a role in signal transduction via the phospholipase D pathway. PAP-2 proteins function independently of Mg2+ and are insensitive to NEM (N-ethylmaleimide) inhibition. The lipid phosphates degraded by this family include ceramide 1-phosphate (C1P), sphingosine 1-phosphate (S1P), phosphatidic acid (PA) and lysophosphatidic acid (LPA). LPPR4 (lipid phosphate phosphatase-related protein type 4), also known as LPR4, PHP1, PRG1 or PRG-1, is a 763 amino acid multi-pass membrane protein that belongs to the PA-phosphatase related phosphoesterase family. Exclusively expressed in neurons, LPPR4 hydrolyzes lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) and facilitates axonal outgrowth during development and regenerative sprouting. LPPR4 exists as two alternatively spliced isoforms and is encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 1p21.2.

Catalog Number: (10466-982)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: May be a signaling adapter molecule involved in p75NTR-mediated apoptosis induced by NGF. Plays a role in zinc-triggered neuronal death (By similarity). May play an important role in the pathogenesis of neurogenetic diseases.Tissue specificity: Found in ovarian granulosa cells, testis, prostate and seminal vesicle tissue. High levels also detected in liver.

Catalog Number: (10396-442)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: Functions as a polyspecific organic cation transporter, efficiently transporting many organic cations such as monoamine neurotransmitters 1-methyl-4-phenylpyridinium and biogenic amines including serotonin, dopamine, norepinephrine and epinephrine. May play a role in regulating central nervous system homeostasis of monoamine neurotransmitters. May be involved in luminal transport of organic cations in the kidney and seems to use luminal proton gradient to drive organic cation reabsorption. Does not seem to transport nucleoside and nucleoside analogs such as uridine, cytidine, thymidine, adenosine, inosine, guanosine, and azidothymidine. In (PubMed:16873718) adenosine is efficiently transported but in a fashion highly sensitive to extracellular pH, with maximal activity in the pH range 5.5 to 6.5. Glu-206 is essential for the cation selectivity and may function as the charge sensor for cationic substrates. Transport is chloride and sodium-independent but appears to be sensitive to changes in membrane potential. Weakly inhibited by the classical inhibitors of equilibrative nucleoside transport, dipyridamole, dilazep, and nitrobenzylthioinosine. May play a role in the regulation of extracellular adenosine concentrations in cardiac tissues, in particular during ischemia.

Description: BRSK1 was initially identified as a mammalian homolog to the fission yeast S. pombe Cdr2, a mitosis-regulatory kinase and also shows significant homology to the C. elegans neuronal cell polarity regulator SAD1. BRSK1 is unbiquitously expressed, with highest levels of expression in the brain and testes. Similar to its yeast homolog, BRSK1 is thought to be involved in stress-induced cell cycle arrest. Overexpression of this protein leads to the G2/M arrest in HeLa S2 cells and UV-induced G2/M arrest could be partially abrogated by reduced expression of BRSK1 through the use of siRNA, indicating its role in DNA damage checkpoint function. More recently, it has been shown that both BRSK1 and the related protein BRSK2 are required for mammalian neuronal polarization. While BRSK1- and BRSK2-null mice were viable, double-mutant mice died within two hours of birth. Neurons from these mice showed uniformly-sized neurites as opposed to the normal long axon and multiple shorter dendrites. These neurites also displayed both axonal and dendritic markers. At least two isoforms of BRSK1 are known to exist.
