Description: GATA1 is a Cys2/Cys2 zinc finger DNA binding protein that is expressed primarily in erythroid, megakaryocytic, mast cells and eosinophilic cells. It belongs to the GATA family of transcription factors. GATA1 is a transcriptional activator which probably serves as a general switch factor for erythroid development. It binds to DNA sites with the consensus sequence [AT]GATA[AG] within regulatory regions of globin genes and of other genes expressed in erythroid cells. The protein also plays an important role in erythroid development by regulating the switch from fetal hemoglobin production to adult hemoglobin.

Description: The BCL6 gene encodes a 706 amino acid nuclear protein of the Kruppeltype zinc finger protein. It is rearranged in about 30% of diffuse large B-cell lymphomas, and is expressed predominantly in normal germinal centre B cells and related lymphomas. The antibody is a useful aid for classification of follicular lymphomas, diffuse large B-cell lymphomas, Burkitt's lymphomas, and nodular, lymphocyte-predominance Hodgkin's lymphoma. The BCL6 antibody, together with BCL2 antibody, is also a useful aid in classification of mantle cell lymphomas, and nodular, lymphocytepredominance Hodgkin's lymphoma. BCL6 protein is not expressed in BCLL, hairy cell leukemia, mantle cell and marginal-zone derived lymphomas

Description: The protein encoded by this gene is an adaptor protein which contains five LIM domains, or double zinc fingers. The protein is likely involved in integrin signaling through its LIM domain-mediated interaction with integrin-linked kinase, found in focal adhesion plaques. It is also thought to act as a bridge linking integrin-linked kinase to NCK adaptor protein 2, which is involved in growth factor receptor kinase signaling pathways. Its localization to the periphery of spreading cells also suggests that this protein may play a role in integrin-mediated cell adhesion or spreading. [provided by RefSeq]

Catalog Number: (10241-874)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: Metalloproteinase inhibitor that functions by forming one to one complexes with target metalloproteinases, such as collagenases, and irreversibly inactivates them by binding to their catalytic zinc cofactor. Acts on MMP1, MMP2, MMP3, MMP7, MMP8, MMP9, MMP1, MMP11, MMP12, MMP13 and MMP16. Does not act on MMP14. Also functions as a growth factor that regulates cell differentiation, migration and cell death and activates cellular signaling cascades via CD63 and ITGB1. Plays a role in integrin signaling. Mediates erythropoiesis in vitro; but, unlike IL3, it is species-specific, stimulating the growth and differentiation of only human and murine erythroid progenitors.

Catalog Number: (76109-318)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: Transcription regulator that plays an essential role in erythroid and megakaryocytic cell differentiation. Essential cofactor that acts via the formation of a heterodimer with transcription factors of the GATA family GATA1, GATA2 and GATA3. Such heterodimer can both activate or repress transcriptional activity, depending on the cell and promoter context. The heterodimer formed with GATA proteins is essential to activate expression of genes such as NFE2, ITGA2B, alpha- and beta-globin, while it represses expression of KLF1. May be involved in regulation of some genes in gonads. May also be involved in cardiac development, in a non-redundant way with ZFPM2/FOG2.

Description: KLHL15 is a member of the kelch-like family of proteins that share a common domain structure consisting of an N-terminal broad-complex, tramtrack, bric-a-brac/poxvirus and zinc finger domain and C-terminal kelch repeat motifs. KLHL15 may be involved in protein ubiquitination and cytoskeletal organization.

Description: YY1 is a ubiquitously distributed transcription factor belonging to the GLI-Kruppel class of zinc finger proteins. The protein is involved in repressing and activating a diverse number of promoters. YY1 may direct histone deacetylases and histone acetyltransferases to a promoter in order to activate or repress the promoter, thus implicating histone modification in the function of YY1.

Description: Defects in the CISD2 (CDGSH iron sulfur domain 2) gene are a cause of the neurodegenerative disorder Wolfram syndrome 2. CISD2 is a zinc finger protein that localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum and mitochondria and binds an iron/sulfur cluster. CISD2 interacts with Bcl-2 and can be displaced by the BH3-only protein BIK and contributes to the regulation of BIK-initiated autophagy. CISD2 deficiency in mice causes mitochondrial breakdown accompanied by autophagic cell death as well as the development of premature aging phenotype.

Description: ROCK2 Antibody: ROCK2 is a member of the AGC serine/threonine protein kinase family that regulates the assembly of the actin cytoskeleton. ROCK2 contains a protein kinase domain, a coiled-coil region and a zinc finger region and appears to be present as a dimer. ROCK2, like its isozyme ROCK1, is a downstream target of the small G-protein Rho and plays a role in smooth muscle contraction, malignant cell transformation, tumor invasion and metastasis, and mediates the cellular morphological changes during apoptosis.

Description: NRD1(Nardilysin) is also named as NRD-C(N-arginine dibasic convertase). It is a zinc metalloendopeptidase of the M16 pitrilysin family that cleaves peptides at dibasic residues. The enzyme has also been found in neural tissues of mouse embryos indicating a role in neural development. Although nardilysin is primarily found in the cytosol, it has been reported that nardilysin is located on the cell surface acting as a receptor for heparinbinding EGF-like growth factor. It has 2 isoforms produced by alternative splicing.

Description: LHX3 encodes a member a large protein family which carry the LIM domain, a unique cysteine-rich zinc-binding domain. The encoded protein is a transcription factor that is required for pituitary development and motor neuron specification. Mutations in this gene have been associated with a syndrome of combined pituitary hormone deficiency and rigid cervical spine.

Description: The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the tripartite motif (TRIM) family. The TRIM motif includes three zinc binding domains, a RING, a B box type 1 and a B box type 2, and a coiled coil region. The protein localizes to the cytoplasm. The presence of potential DNA binding and dimerization transactivation domains suggests that this protein may act as a transcription factor, similar to several other members of the TRIM family. Expression of the gene is upregulated in response to estrogen, and it is thought to mediate estrogen actions in breast cancer as a primary response gene.
