Description: Kruppel-like factor 13(KLF13) is a member of transcription actors, which contains 3 zinc finger DNA-binding domains. Theses transcription factors bind to CG-rich sequences and related GT and CACCC boxes. KLF13 involved in activation of transcription of variety of genes in the cells of erythroid lineage, such as GATA1, glycophorin B. It also binds to the A and A/B RANTES promoter binding sites, the same as NFKB, and then transactivates the RANTES gene.

Description: beta -Lactamase-like Protein 2 (LACTB2) is a number of the metallo-beta-lactamase superfamily.LACTB2 also belongs to the Glyoxalase II family. LACTB2 is 288 amino acids long with 8 zinc-binding domains. The LACTB2 gene is expressed at high levels and annotates structural defects or features in 4 cDNA clones. LACTB2 proteins are expected to have hydrolase activity and metal ion-binding functions. LACTB2 protein is found to localize in mitochondrion. Other functions of LACTB2 is yet unknown.

Description: Glycerol-3-Phosphate Dehydrogenase [NAD(+)], Cytoplasmic (GPDH-C) belongs to the NAD-Dependent Glycerol-3-Phosphate Dehydrogenase family. GPDH-C plays a critical role in carbohydrate and lipid metabolism by catalyzing the reversible conversion of Dihydroxyacetone Phosphate (DHAP) and reducing Nicotine Adenine Dinucleotide (NADH) to Glycerol-3-Phosphate (G3P) and NAD+. GPDH-C is inhibited by zinc ions and sulfate. Mutations in this gene are a cause of transient infantile hypertriglyceridemia. GPDH-C is unlike Glyceraldehyde 3-Phosphate Dehydrogenase (GAPDH); they have different substrates.

Description: Nuclear corepressor for KRAB domain-containing zinc finger proteins (KRAB-ZFPs). Mediates gene silencing by recruiting CHD3, a subunit of the nucleosome remodeling and deacetylation (NuRD) complex, and SETDB1 (which specifically methylates histone H3 at 'Lys-9' (H3K9me)) to the promoter regions of KRAB target genes. Enhances transcriptional repression by coordinating the increase in H3K9me, the decrease in histone H3 'Lys-9 and 'Lys-14' acetylation (H3K9ac and H3K14ac, respectively) and the disposition of HP1 proteins to silence gene expression. Recruitment of SETDB1 induces heterochromatinization. May play a role as a coactivator for CEBPB and NR3C1 in the transcriptional activation of ORM1. Also corepressor for ERBB4. Inhibits E2F1 activity by stimulating E2F1-HDAC1 complex formation and inhibiting E2F1 acetylation. May serve as a partial backup to prevent E2F1-mediated apoptosis in the absence of RB1. Important regulator of CDKN1A/p21(CIP1). Has E3 SUMO-protein ligase activity toward itself via its PHD-type zinc finger. Also specifically sumoylates IRF7, thereby inhibiting its transactivation activity. Ubiquitinates p53/TP53 leading to its proteosomal degradation; the function is enhanced by MAGEC2 and MAGEA2, and possibly MAGEA3 and MAGEA6. Mediates the nuclear localization of KOX1, ZNF268 and ZNF300 transcription factors.
