Description: RB1 (RB Transcriptional Corepressor 1) is a protein coding gene. The protein encoded by this gene is a negative regulator of the cell cycle and was the first tumor suppressor gene found. Promotes G0-G1 transition when phosphorylated by CDK3/cyclin-C. Acts as a transcription repressor of E2F1 target genes. The active, hypo-phosphorylated form of RB1 interacts with E2F1 and represses its transcription activity, leading to cell cycle arrest. RB1 is directly involved in heterochromatin formation by maintaining overall chromatin structure and the constitutive heterochromatin, by stabilizing histone methylation. Retinoblastoma recruits and targets histone methyltransferases SUV39H1, KMT5B and KMT5C, leading to epigenetic transcriptional repression. It controls histone H4 Lys-20 trimethylation and inhibits the intrinsic kinase activity of TAF1. It mediates transcriptional repression by SMARCA4/BRG1 by recruiting a histone deacetylase (HDAC) complex to the c-FOS promoter. In resting neurons, transcription of the c-FOS promoter is inhibited by BRG1-dependent recruitment of a phospho-RB1-HDAC1 repressor complex. Upon calcium influx, RB1 is dephosphorylated by calcineurin, which leads to release of the repressor complex (By similarity). In case of viral infections, interactions with SV40 large T antigen, HPV E7 protein, or adenovirus E1A protein induce the disassembly of RB1-E2F1 complex thereby disrupting RB1s activity. RB1 may be associated with diseases such as retinoblastoma, small cell cancer of the lung, bladder cancer, and osteogenic sarcoma. Anti-Retinoblastoma K860 Me1 Antibody is useful for researchers interested in cancer, transcription factor, epigenetics, and enzyme antibody research.

Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Description: CRIM1 (cysteine-rich motor neuron 1), a glycosylated type I transmembrane protein, plays a role in tissue development i.e. capillary formation and maintenance during angiogenesis. It contains an N-terminal IGF-binding protein-like motif and six von Willebrand-like cysteine-rich repeats (CRRs) in its extracellular domain. CRIM1 interacts with BMP4 and BMP7 via the CRRs and functions as an antagonist. CRIM1 is developmentally expressed in a number of tissues including the pancreas, kidney, placenta, brain and blood vessels. CRIM1 may participate in CNS and placental development by interacting with growth factors involved in motor neuron differentiation and survival.

Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Description: Anti-IL-34 Antibody has been tested for use in ELISA and WB. Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user. Expect a band at ~48 kDa in size corresponding to IL-34 by Western blotting in the appropriate cell lysate or extract.

Catalog Number: (75928-874)
Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Description: IL-21 antibody detects human IL-21 precursor. A novel cytokine was recently identified in human and mouse and designated IL-21 , which has significant homology to IL-2, IL-4, and IL-15. The receptor for IL-21 (IL-21R, also termed NILR for novel Interleukin receptor) is a new member of the class I cytokine receptor family. IL-21R forms a complex with the common cytokine receptor gamma chain, gammac, and mediates IL-21 signaling. IL-21 and its receptor activate JAK-STAT signaling pathway. IL-21 is expressed in activated T cells, and HL-60 and THP-1 cell lines. IL-21 plays a role in the proliferation and maturation of NK, B and T cell populations. Anti-IL-21 antibodies are ideal for investigators involved in Cytokines and Growth factors research.

Catalog Number: (10800-644)
Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Description: CCL17, also known as TARC, binds to chemokine receptors CCR4 and CCR8 and plays important roles in T cell development in thymus as well as in trafficking and activation of mature T cells. CCL17 is secreted from monocyte-derived DCs and endothelial cells and is responsible for selective recruitment and migration of activated Th2 lymphocytes. CCL17 is also required for CCR7 and CXCR4-dependent migration of cutaneous dendritic cells under inflammatory conditions.

Catalog Number: (76634-792)
Supplier: Diagnostic Biosystems
Description: SOX-10, a member of the sex-determining region Y-related HMG-box family, is a transcription factor that is expressed in pre-migratory and migrating neural crest cells. Following migration it remains expressed in cells destined for glial, schwannian, and melanocytic differentiation. SOX10 is widely expressed in normal human tissues including melanocytes and breast tissue. SOX10 is also an important marker in malignant tumors such as melanoma, and breast carcinomas of basal-like and triple negative type, gliomas, and benign tumors such as schwannomas. More importantly, SOX10 has been shown to be expressed in 97 to 100% of desmoplastic and spindle cell melanomas and has also been shown to be expressed in 100% of nevi. Spindle cell and desmoplastic melanomas are rare variants of invasive cutaneous melanoma, with an annual incidence rate of approximately 2 per 100,000. The majority of oligodendrogliomas and a large percentage of astrocytomas and poorly differentiated glioblastomas have also been shown to express SOX10.

Description: Bax is an appromimately 22 kDa pro-apoptotic protein belonging to the Bcl-2 family of proteins, which are characterized by the presence of at least one Bcl-2 homology (BH) domains. Bax normally resides in the cytoplasm, but following an apoptotic stimuli, Bax undergoes a conformational change and translocates to mitochondrial membranes where it inserts and mediates the release of cytochrome c. This activates caspase-3 and perpetuates the apoptotic cascade.

Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Description: Vitamin K epoxide reductase complex subunit 1 (VKORC1) is the enzyme that is responsible for reducing vitamin K 2,3-epoxide to the enzymatically activated form which is essential for blood clotting. This enzymatically activated form of vitamin K is a reduced form required for the carboxylation of glutamic acid residues in some blood-clotting proteins. Fatal bleeding can be caused by vitamin K deficiency and by the vitamin K antagonist warfarin, and it is VKORC1 that is sensitive to warfarin. In humans, mutations in this gene can be associated with deficiencies in vitamin-K-dependent clotting factors and, in humans and rats, with warfarin resistance.
