Troemner Alloy 8 Precision Analytical Weight Sets, Class 2, Troemner
Weights Calibration Weights
Highly polished kilogram and gram weights made of Troemner Alloy 8, a specially developed austenitic stainless steel that possesses closely controlled density, extremely low magnetic permeability, good stability, and resistance to corrosion and handling damage

Fractional weights 500 mg to 5 mg are made of stainless steel (30 mg weights are made of aluminum); fractional weights 3mg and below are made of aluminum. Weights 500 g and smaller are supplied in rugged polypropylene cases. Sets that include weights 1 kg and larger are supplied in oak, aluminum, or rugged plastic cases. All cases are fitted with individual compartments and marked with the accuracy class and serial number. A clear fitted cover secures the fractional weights within the case. Each case includes contoured weight forceps. Analytical weights 1g and above are manufactured with adjusting cavities.

This exclusive material has a density of 8.0 at 25°C (controlled to ±0.1%), is essentially nonmagnetic in the annealed condition, and will not transform to magnetic under any combination of temperature and cold work down to –195.5°C (–320°F).

Certifications: Standard weight sets are supplied with a Statement of Accuracy. Where applicable, weight sets are supplied with a NIST/NVLAP Weight Calibration Certificate or a Traceable Certificate.
