Ninhydrin

Ninhydrin, Monohydrate, Reagent, ACS is used for the detection of free amino groups in amino acids, peptides and proteins and in assay of peptides, amino acids, amino sugars and amines. It is also commonly used for the development of fingerprints on porous surfaces.

As a Reagent ACS grade reagent, its chemical specifications are the de facto standards for chemicals used in many high-purity applications and typically designate the highest quality chemical available for laboratory use.
