Calcium Phosphate Tribasic, Powder, Reagent can also be referred to as Tricalcium phosphate and is abbreviated TCP. It is one of the main products of bone combustion but can also be obtained from inorganic sources such as mineral rock. It is used in baby powder as well as in powdered spices as an anti-caking agent. It is also used in gene transfection as well as for repairing bony defects and as a diet supplement. It has also historically been used in the production of porcelain. Its reagent grade means this is the highest quality commercially available for this chemical and that the American Chemical Society has not officially set any specifications for this material.
