Electrophoresis Gels Precast Gels

Ideal for checking restriction digests and PCR products.

HT gels are designed for high throughput screening applications. They can be run on most large submerged electrophoresis systems and feature landscape gel orientations. Midigels feature portrait gel orientations. RNA midigels also feature portrait gel orientations, but are ideal for Northern blotting and RNA electrophoresis. Both the HT gels and the DNA midigels are pre-stained with 0.5 µg/ml ethidium bromide. The RNA midigels are not pre-stained, but are compatible with ethidium bromide, SYBR® Green II, and GelStar® nucleic acid stain.

All gels are manufactured with molecular biology grade SeaKem® or NuSieve® agarose. They are DNase- and RNase-free and provide sharp bands with low background fluorescence. All gels can be stored for 6–12 months at 18 to 26°C (64 to 79°F), depending on agarose concentration.

Ordering information: Midigels come in boxes of eight gels/box. HT gels come in boxes of five gels/box.
