AccuGENE™ Molecular Biology Buffers are ready-to-use solutions ideal for a wide range of molecular biology applications. Each reagent is prepared with 18 megOhm water, filtered using a 0.2 micron filter, and filled into sterile bottles.
- Reliable - Manufactured according to strict quality control standards to ensure lot-to-lot consistency.
- High Quality - No detectable DNase, RNase, or protease activities unless otherwise noted.
- Efficient - Ready-made solutions eliminate experiment preparation time.
- Flexible - Customized solutions are available to meet individual needs
TAE (Tris-Acetate-EDTA) buffer is made from Tris, EDTA and Acetic acid
TBE (Tris hydroxymethyl aminomethane) is made from Tris, EDTA and Boric acid. The addition of borate makes TBA a better conductive medium than TAE so it less prone to overheating and better for longer runs. Borate does inhibit some enzymatic reactions, so it is not often used if the DNA/RNA will be extracted for downstream applications.
MOPS(3-(N-morpholino)propanesulfonic acid) is a buffer introduced by Good et al. in the 1960s and is frequently used as a buffering agent in biology and biochemistry. It has been tested and recommended for polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis and RNA electrophoresis.
Tris glycine native buffer is a Tris buffer with added glycine. It is commonly used in electrophoresis of proteins in their “Native” , non-denatured state thus preserving the molecules' higher-order structure. When SDS is added, it denatures the proteins allowing them to separate by size.
