CellPro™ LB (Lennox) + Ampicillin is a modified variant of the classic Luria-Bertani (LB) agar, fortified with ampicillin to support the growth of ampicillin-resistant bacterial strains. This medium is commonly used in molecular biology laboratories for the cultivation and selection of transformed bacterial cells carrying ampicillin resistance genes. By incorporating ampicillin into the LB agar, this medium enables the isolation and propagation of genetically engineered bacteria in a controlled and selective manner.
