CellPro™ LB (Lennox) and Gentamycin is a specialized culture medium containing gentamicin, an aminoglycoside antibiotic co mmonly used to select for bacterial strains carrying gentamicin resistance genes. This modified LB agar variant is suitable for the cultivation and maintenance of recombinant bacterial cells in molecular biology laboratories. By incorporating gentamicin into the LB agar, this medium enables the selective growth of transformed bacterial strains while inhibiting the growth of gentamicin-sensitive contaminants.
