The empathy assay was first described in the literature by Jeon et al., (2011) and is an excellent tool to interrogate observational fear.

Includes a sound-attenuating cubicle for observational fear-conditioning chamber

The empathy assay apparatus comes with two key components; a double-chambered acrylic chamber with two-foot shock-controlled grids, each of which can be controlled independently with the included Conductor software. This apparatus is then placed inside of a standard, basic isolation chamber. Upgrades in this chamber such as sound and light cues can be customized. Please inquire for more information.

Ordering information: The empathy assay apparatus requires software to function (see accessory options). Software packages are designed for use with the automated empathy assay and video tracking software such as EthoVision or ANY-Maze.
