Beta Carbin Program for Rigid Lab Plastics
Boxes Waste Disposal Boxes
Tired of plastic waste in the lab? So are we. With Polycarbin's Beta Carbin program a lab's rigid plastics can be transformed into the next generation of lab products. Track the progress and restock with low-carbon products to become a Closed-Loop lab.

  • Divert up to 85% of rigid lab plastics from landfills and incinerators
  • Prepaid return labels and carbon neutral shipping
  • Personalized dashboard showing impact data

Today the vast majority of lab plastics are either burned or buried, perpetuating the 'take-make-waste' model of innovation. Polycarbin uses lab plastics as the key input in our manufacturing process, turning them into the next generation of lab products.

Polycarbin's Beta Carbin program is a mailback service for a broad range of non-infectious, non-hazardous, rigid lab plastics. Simply sort plastics into the Clear and Color Carbins. Once full, use the prepaid return labels to ship them back to Polycarbin. From here, users can track their efforts with Polycarbin's data platform, the Carbin Counter.

Ordering information: Clear and Color Carbins are sold separately. To get started, Polycarbin recommends a 5 pack of each Clear and Color Carbins. Beta Carbins should come with prepaid return labels affixed to each box. If Carbins do not have them upon arrival, please contact your Avantor representative.

Packaging: Beta Carbins come in packs of five. The external package has dimensions of 27L×25W×10"H.

Caution: The Beta Carbin program is exclusively for non-infectious, non-hazardous, rigid lab plastics. Please consult an EHS Department or a Polycarbin associate prior to implementation.
