Easy-to-read scales.
- Precisioned machined from stock acrylic
- Designed for research and laboratory equipment
These flow meter bodies are cut and precision machined from solid, clear acrylic plastic blocks. This construction not only produces a handsome finished product, but permits complete visual inspection. As a result, these flowmeters are especially popular for laboratory equipment applications.
Scales are easy to read-The front scale location and white background provides excellent visibility. The direct reading scales are hot pressed into the plastic and will not wear off. Mid-range calibration is established with a master flow meter. Accuracy is ±5% of full scale for Series A models, ±3% for Series B, and ±2% for Series C. Scales average 2" long on the Series A models, 4" long on Series B, and 5" long on Series C.
Durable and attractive construction-The machined acrylic bodies of these flowmeters are practically unbreakable. Fabrication is backed by 50 years of experience in acrylic instrument machining. The tapered bore is precision machined to a smooth surface that provides perfect visibility of the indicating float. The Series A and Series B models are available with either brass or stainless steel inlet and outlet connections and are tapped for 1⁄8" NPT Thread. Series B models 85 and 86 have either 1⁄4" back or 3⁄8" end connections. The Series C models are provided with PVC connections tapped for 1" NPT Thread. All models have Buna-N “O” ring seals for leak proof connection and are available with either back or end connections for maximum installation versatility.
Precision metering valves are available for most Series A and Series B models. Valves can be provided in either brass or stainless steel and have the valve stems may be easily removed for inspection and maintenance. The Series C models, intended for use with external metering valves, are equipped with a large diameter stainless steel guide rod and a specially designed stainless steel float to provide excellent float stability at the high flow ranges provided by these models.
