The TC Metzenbaum needle holder is most commonly used for grasping needles for suturing in plastic surgery procedures. The curved serrated jaws ensure a strong grip. This product is similar to the Mathieu-Ryder but with a wider jaw tip. TC instruments are designed to stay sharp for a significantly longer period of time than other standard instruments. Sklar® permanently bonds tungsten carbide inserts to the instrument, which maximizes control and precision. TC instruments are identified by gold handles.
