These can be used as buffer for diluting primary and secondary antibodies.
- Reduces non specific binding of the antibodies
- Minimizes negative effects of disturbing substances
- Minimizes low or medium affinity cross-reactivities of the antibodies
- More reliable results
These can be used for diluting antibodies if they were stored even at –20 °C in glycerol, or in refrigerator
For 'trouble-giving' antibodies and in situ PCR applications, this dilutent may be used as a washing buffer, preventing secondary binding of analystes during washing.
When used in pathology, it also greatly reduces non-specific reactivity of human serum components and immunoglobulins in tissue, vessels and cells with mouse antibodies used on section. Excellent for IHC, flow cytometry on fixed cells, western blot and other immune assays.
