3M™ Disposable Protective Coverall Safety Work Wear 4540 offers high-performance protection while delivering worker comfort

3M™ Protective Coveralls are designed for use in industrial workplaces as a physical barrier to help prevent skin contact from liquid splashes and dust in certain work environments. In addition, these coveralls meet ANSI 101-1996 size guidelines. Suggested applications include asbestos abatement and inspection, exposure to radioactive particles, lead abatement, mold remediation/mold spores, fertilizer application (dry/granular), pesticide application (liquid), general industrial clean-up and processing, grease (general), machine or vehicle maintenance, coal dust, fiberglass/cellulose insulation installation, food processing, general powder handling, non-hazardous aerosols (sprays), non-hazardous liquids, paint/spray coating, paint/spray coating (with Isocyanate paints), cleanroom applications (ISO Class 4–9), pharmaceutical powder handling, metal particulate (chromium beryllium, etc.), and metal polishing.

In the 'goods producing' sector of industry, which includes manufacturing, construction, and natural resources and mining, skin diseases/disorders rank as the second leading cause of incidence rates and nonfatal occupational illnesses in 2013 according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Protective apparel is a key factor in improving safety. These garments are only effective if they are worn consistently and matched to the hazards of the job.

This coverall is constructed with a non-woven laminated material and a breathable, SMMMS fabric back panel to help improve air ventilation. The microporous PE laminate is low-linting and features an anti-static treatment on both sides. The back panel helps reduce heat build-up while providing a barrier against hazardous particles and limited liquid splashes. Coveralls also feature extra room in the arms and legs for enhanced mobility, a two-way zipper for added on-off convenience, as well as storm flaps, seamless shoulders, and sleeve tops for extra protection. All sizes have knit cuffs and elastic waist and ankles for increased comfort and mobility.
