Biopsy Pads

Biopsy Pads are made from open-celled foam, which allows fluids to transfer safely and thoroughly around tissue samples while holding the specimen securely.

To prevent floating and avoid artifacts, Biopsy Pads should be presaturated in fixative.

Bio-Wraps are sections of tissue paper cut to a convenient, ready-to-use 5 x 7.6cm (2 x 3") size. They are colored blue to help locate small biopsy specimens following paraffin infiltration. They will not bleed into specimens. Bio-Wraps are supplied in convenient dispenser packs.

The thin design helps eliminate excess pressure from being applied to unfixed specimens, reducing the risk of tissue sticking to the pads or fibers coming apart during embedding.
