Adenosine-5'-monophosphoric acid (AMP) monohydrate

Adenosine 5′-monophosphate is a nucleotide that is used as a monomer in RNA. It is an ester of phosphoric acid and the nucleoside adenosine. AMP consists of a phosphate group, the sugar ribose, and the nucleobase adenine.

Adenosine 5′-monophosphate (5′-AMP) has many uses in nature. 5′-AMP is an activator of a class of protein kinases known as AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK).

Soluble in water with addition of mild alkali, 1N ammonium hydroxide (200 mg/4 mL-clear to slightly hazy colorless solution).
