This drying assembly, originally designed for Iyophilizing and storing frozen slices of tissue for quantitative histochemistry, can also be used as a vacuum tube when combined with aluminum holders by Nelson and Wakefield (see the Journal of Neuropathology and Exper

Neurology, Vol. XXVII, No. 2, April 1968). The joint is a [ST] 40/50. The aluminum holder measures 25 x 90 x 3 mm, with two rows of eight holes, each 8 mm in diameter. The assembly is furnished with two microscope slides. Hose connection is for use with 5/18-inch I.D. tubing. Fabricated from borosilicate glass.
